Raccoon99%?Are you sure about That?Nintendos put out around 100 games on switch and a pretty good chunk run at 30 and full 1080p is even rarer.
Strongest evidence of RDR2 eventually coming to Switch is this unused asset:
You can also find the string "nx64" in the main executable. (might be related to the game engine RAGE since it also mentions the Wii iirc)
Nate is the only person as far as I know that had an actual time frame for whenever this device was suppose to release(EOY 202/Early 2023), no else said anything or at least collaborated which is why I don't think people should focus in on that time frame unless others start saying the same as well. Definitely a handful have mentioned dev kits are out in the wild, which I think most agree is likely. For 2022 successor console I would assume we would got a hella lot more smoke by now for it rather than a slim/lite, Pro model.
Just my 2 cent, and I think waiting after early 2024 is too long as developing for old hardware as the Switch is suffering at that point.
Yes, example:Are similar icons for other controllers shown in the pc version?
The cowboys are coming to Switch but not the original model.Yes, example:
Of course I am not saying it would 100% come to Switch, maybe the assets are just future proofed.
That would be neat. And what about GTAVI?The cowboys are coming to Switch but not the original model.
Didn't someone make a very cryptic post that alluded to Rockstar having a devkit?
Don't think it was a Hidden-like poster either (who went, in a few days, from posting almost random stuff in here to having leaks from the "deep webz"....that was fun though) and I don't think it was in this thread.
Oh yeah, Hosermess, it was Polygon, scroll up a bit.I know what you’re talking about. Can’t remember the poster though…it was a few months ago. I feel like it was a semi-regular poster in this thread? On the tip of my tongue.

Please, introduce yourself. As I've said before I know someone who plays for the Scottish Cowboys and they recently told me "don't bother asking for it for Christmas" when wondering aloud if it will come this year but they could be winding me up lol. That's all I've gotten since last time. I don't want to push because like all developers they're under nda's.
I'd personally expect it March'23 for BotW 2 at the earliest and I'm betting it will be called "Switch 2" since it will be six years after the original and be made clear it's backwards compatible with a year of cross gen games so as not to upset Switch owners who don't want to upgrade just yet.
It’s not about twisting into a know to refute it. It’s just that that controller asset by itself, is not particularly compelling evidence.Take 2's one of the biggest supporters of Switch this gen. Hard to imagine they wouldn't have tested feasiblity either as a cloud version, impossible port or simply future proofed it because they knew about the next console by then. We also have some industry journos reporting on it, like Totillo abov.
People twisting themselves into knots to refute it is just bizarre. This is the same publisher that gave Switch a 1 year console exclusivity on Civ 6 and for all intents and purposes it was the lead version for consoles.
Source? If im not mistaken that is for Stadia, Stadia allows you to use Pro Controller.
Source?
Correct, but Totillo corroborates above. It’s not about twisting into a know to refute it. It’s just that that controller asset by itself, is not particularly compelling evidence.

Oh come on. Everyone here craves the Drake. Nothing to be ashamed of. Let's hope we get it sooner than later (Spring 2023 at the latest).Would be the dream if we finally get something hardware (I don’t dare to say the d word) related this week.
At least I would prefer that.

I remember your previous “Scottish Cowboys” post, but I am too dense to tell if that post and the new one were made in jest. Care to clarify? As I've said before I know someone who plays for the Scottish Cowboys and they recently told me "don't bother asking for it for Christmas" when wondering aloud if it will come this year but they could be winding me up lol. Same. I had a grip for my switch but I recently imported some joycon only grips and they've been fantastic. Especially if you use split joycons method.I'd genuinely be excited by this though
joycons make my hands cramp

Hmm, something on the last page that catches my eye: SRAM density converted to... Megabits/square millimeters?Hopefully, Intel can actually execute on Intel 4 (and Intel 3).A Look At Intel 4 Process Technology

RDR2 I'm hopeful based on previously discussed things, namely Polygon in here and Totilo. Ubisoft I also agree will probably bring Odyssey/Origins/Valhalla, but I really hope they eventually get around to Unity/Syndicate, too. What do you all think the first Drake exclusive game(s) will be from each developer/publisher? I could see Ubisoft bringing the latest AC and/or Far Cry. KT might have Wo Long (especially if they want to hit that 5 million goal). For Rockstar, we haven’t heard much about GTAV, so maybe RDR2 first? EA should (might) finally bring their other sports games. Capcom could have either SF6 or Exoprimal.
What does everyone else think?
GTA V might not be so likely since if I’m not mistaken, Nate said it was being considered for base Switch but dropped because of cost and Nintendo’s poor online infrastructure. I don’t understand why since I assume anything online would go through Rockstar’s servers but anyhow. What do you all think the first Drake exclusive game(s) will be from each developer/publisher? …wouldn’t RDR2 probably have the same storage issues ?I doubt that’s the reason. Switch has a ton of online games (Fortnite, Apex, Overwatch).
I think storage (cart size/price) is a bigger factor honestly.
Drake should be able to run big games so I doubt this will be an issue.RDR2 feels like the obvious choice to me. But then again…
…wouldn’t RDR2 probably have the same storage issues ?
no one can tell for sure, a lot of debate happened around this question but no definitive answer.ok, so is the drake going to be a console revision or a switch 2
I feel like you are missing some examples (Yoshi, Kirby, Animal Crossing...), but my main point:Raccoon
All of these new exclusive Switch titles target 60fps -
Super Mario Odyssey.
Super Mario 3D World: Bowser's Fury (60fps when docked).
Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
Metroid Dread.
Super Mario Party.
Super Mario Party Superstars.
Mario Tennis.
Mario Golf.
Mario Strikers.
ARMS.
Hyrule Warriors.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
Fire Emblem Warriors.
Yoshi's Crafted World.
All of these "Deluxe" Wii U ports (which in most cases also increase resolution from 720p to 900p/1080p) are also 60fps on Switch -
Super Mario 3D World Deluxe.
Super Mario Bros U Deluxe.
Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze Deluxe.
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Deluxe.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
Bayonetta 1.
Bayonetta 2.
Pokken Tournament DX.
A ton of indy games and some ports also run at 60fps.
Breath of the Wild, Pokemon and Fire Emblem are the main big Switch exclusive titles that are 30fps. The first two for the open Worlds and the third for the amount of character models on screen at once.
Pikmin 3 is a disgustingly lazy port. There's no reason why the game doesn't run at least at 1080p/30fps (it's still 720p on Switch) but all those creatures on screen at once is the main reason it's 30fps whether it's CPU or GPU bound.
Compare those above games to the big name Sony and Xbox exclusives of the PS4/XBO generation. They almost always targeted 30fps until the Pro/X/PS5/XBSS/XBSX arrived which let them brute force 60fps. The games were still designed around 30fps.
The Switch games that target 30fps will easily be 60fps (some 120fps if they allow) with the new CPU compute budget boost developers are about to get with the new Switch model. I just pray Nintendo don't limit the games to the same framerate on both Switch chipsets for some sort of loyalty parity...
I also expect Metroid Prime 4 to also target 60fps on the base Switch at least when docked.
My main point was that 60fps is the standard on Switch for it's exclusive games. Sure you can name 30fps games but they're the exception not the rule. Long may it continue as targeting 60fps is one of the things I love most about Nintendo because it not only looks better than 30fps, 60fps games just play better due to the reduced controller input lag.
I'm expecting RE2/3 to be sooner (to coincide with 4) and 7/8 to be later (to coincide with Apocalypse).RDR2 I'm hopeful based on previously discussed things, namely Polygon in here and Totilo. Ubisoft I also agree will probably bring Odyssey/Origins/Valhalla, but I really hope they eventually get around to Unity/Syndicate, too.
WB I'm not sure they'd care but I'd hope Batman, but that's already leaked and probably isn't Drake exclusive so...idk. Gotham Knights someday?
And for Capcom I wonder if they get RE 2/3/7 and/or 8 out sooner than later.
ok, so is the drake going to be a console revision or a switch 2

Might be easy to convert it to DLSS...but from what I understand, the folks who developed the Luminous Engine all left S-E, unless I'm mistaken.A game that I think would come would be FFXV, SE seemingly wanted that on everything.
And it has DLSS (the old one though)
Nintendo released both the 3DS and WiiU during one of the worst crisis in modern history, hardware will still come even if there is crisisI’m sorry to break your dream but no new hardware will be released this year and the next one. Probably you live in the US but Europe this year will be in a real and deep economical crisis. No way!
Multiple people here have explained that a company can't just delay hardware, that they have planned for years in advance, because of chip shortages or economical difficulties. If Nintendo planned to have new hardware in the 22-23 timeframe, it will release then.I’m sorry to break your dream but no new hardware will be released this year and the next one.
