uh oh

yeah, if there were a Direct of any kind they would've saved this for it

I'm about ready to pack this thread up, if people are alright with that. Any Twitter announcements could be discussed in the general ST or their own announcement threads.

I'll make a strawpoll soon
I also vote to keep it open, it’s been fun and I don’t want to have to actually do work during the day instead of constantly refreshing this thread

I’m glad we can point to Kirby now whenever someone says Nintendo has announced every game coming out this year besides Metroid Prime and Everybody 1-2 Switch.

Honestly at this point I wish I DIDNT know a pro was coming so I could 1) justify buying an OLED model to replace my dying launch unit and 2) be pleasantly surprised when it actually gets announced lol
OLED is worth it regardless of Pro existence

Sell your launch switch and get an OLED asap

I'm smiling so much, that just looks like the silliest little Kirby game. Make him eat enough strawberries so that he's the plumpest Kirby, and then fight the others with his big body.

I expect a full summary of how this Kirby eshop game

1) Confirms switch pro is happening soon
2) Confirms switch pro isn't happening soon
3) Confirms Nintendo isn't doing directs anymore
4) Confirms Kirby is being milked and that this game should have been a new wave race instead

If it’s Twitter drop month, for those upset just wait until near the end of the month and watch all the cool trailers back to back and there’s your first party direct!

But honestly, the Kirby game looks cool, if tomorrow is new Pokémon trailer and Thursday maybe some Mario Kart news then that’s a phenomenal week

That's cool, yeah. Whether or not it was Nintendo's idea - which I think is unlikely - it's simply not a trend at all.
Oh no, I agree that we're not going to see an increasing trend of developer interviews following these, but it does refute @stodesign12's original point that Nintendo has stopped doing them at all.

I wish I could race on a cake right about now! :ROFLMAO: It does look like fun though!

But, seriously, as you all might know better than me, I literally didn't see even a smidge of a hint towards a Kirby game like this, right? Did anyone out there say anything about it beforehand? These random drops like this always have me looking around and checking sources and stuff, haha! :ROFLMAO:

A bit confused as to why they didn’t date it, if it’s out before the end of the Summer I’d assume they’d have a release date by now

Also, surprised this wasn’t at the Partner Showcase, considering HAL was seen as a “Partner” in the October 2020 show

Why they did not announce a release date when it's literally Summer 2022? Or is that shadowdrop after September Direct? It seems like

Hello thread-friends,

i assume you all take the Kirby eShop game announcement good? No doomposting and so on?

Guys?

Guuuuys?

What’s annoying about the Kirby thing, and in general I dislike when game companies do this, but Summer 2022 is what…2 months left? You don’t know a specific release date yet?

Wow. Another Kirby game? It's been THREE years since we got a new mainline Fire Emblem game. We need to seriously discuss how Nintendo is ABANDONING its IPs.

lol

That's to me the best part of the announcement, we're going to get more unannounced games in the future that we don't know about

There is no longer any reason to entertain an event this month. Please, gamers, make the right choice.

edit: straw poll broken, poll tbd
Racoon makes voting poll

Votes yes to close the thread

STOPS THE COUNT and deletes the poll

I'm onto your sneaky ways

HAL always has a team making this smaller games it was expected for them to release a small game in Kirby’s anniversary, I hope the rumored collection still comes though
