It’s hard for me to not be sympathetic folks who whip around like this. The fan community is fed a media diet almost entirely of con-artists.I'm going to be frank, this isn't something he's usually wrong about so I think he's garnered the BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, tough concept I know, and something changed internally at Nintendo.
This user is fully allowed to make their own judgements on who they do and do not trust, and for what reason. But there is no logic to it.now that the Direct leaks are proven wrong, it's time to admit that Nate, Necro & every other nintendo leaker (aside from pyoro) who backed up the rumor are now considered not trusty anymore
Case in continued point: this user is tossing out stuff that hasn’t come up in Nate’s reporting (storage amount) but not thrown out stuff that has (load times in Zelda).which by extension everything they said about switch 2 is wrong, we're now back to point zero which is 8gb ram, 64-128gb storage & possibly no BC
Hopium, more exact.Hope
Very little of what they do is centered around quarterly shareholder meetings.why would Nintendo anounce Switch sucessor in march?way before it may shareholders meeting
I mentioned cost of cartridges before as being a driver of the success of the PS1. This came across my feed today -
It's an interesting look back at bare minimum.
EDIT: Canadian. Take with a grain of salt.

I hadn't thought to search for old catalogs and circulars. That's the same prices as modern games in Canada. If the pic is true, those are still pretty expensive for SNES games lol
Nothing is being nice. That shit could've been a tweet. So, uh...... That Xbox podcast was a whole lotta of nothing, wasn't it?
Does that include a shirt with him holding a nothing burger in the shape of an Xbox?Phil: And here is ourfirst batch of nothing burgers. (Presents Burgers)
Phil: What do you think of them?
Of course!Does that include a shirt with him holding a nothing burger in the shape of an Xbox?
well it's been call that for years nowMicrosoft: *takes "Direct" name from Nintendo and applies it to their own presentations*
Unreal: Hold my Mountain Dew
People just love stealing ideas from Nintendo.Famiboards ignoring obvious bait challenge! difficulty impossible!
well it's been call that for years now
No, they could have delayed it precisely to announce 1 of those four games in the direct. So, can we safely say that Nintendo didn't move the Direct because of that podcast? It's kinda funny how some us here, myself included, thought that this was gonna be some earth shattering reveal of Microsoft's future in the industry, when this could have been a Twitter drop.
At first I thought grubb was just suggesting they were moving the partner showcase but now he's confirming he has heard things about it being moved. There's a chance nate and necro's sources were correct at one point.
I guess? Sounds abit asinine to delay it over one game, no?No, they could have delayed it precisely to announce 1 of those four games in the direct.
If the rumors are true, I think Nintendo should try to push any of the potential portable Xbox as soon as possible. Microsoft is able to sell a powerful handheld in the same price range (or lower) than Nintendo and I think they could reveal that at the end of the year for a release in 2026.
IDK, delaying a pre recorded video a week isn't that big of a deal?I guess? Sounds abit asinine to delay it over one game, no?

Tbh not sure if I do either. Necro said he shouldn't have trusted that source, nate just said he's waiting for an upate on a reschedule which suggests he believes it was set for today. Current scenario is: necros source was untrustworthy but nate's source was real, just that the direct moved to a time he doesn't know yet.I don't believe this one bit.

So is this what uncharted territory looks like?
It isn't, but the arguments I'd heard were about how the Direct would have been overshadowed by whatever this podcast would have entailed and even then, it's not like these events couldn't have been on the same day? Though I suppose that's assuming that 1. this Xbox game is even gonna be apart of the Direct and 2. Nate and Necrolipe's source simply got things wrong. I just don't see the point of changing plans over something like what we saw today. Maybe I'm overthinking things.IDK, delaying a pre recorded video a week isn't that big of a deal?
If it was only just a pre recorded video in question sureIDK, delaying a pre recorded video a week isn't that big of a deal?
Like thelegendofcap said, there is a chance Nintendo didn't know this would be a nothingburger. And the cost of delaying the direct is relatively minor, so better safe than sorry. It isn't, but the arguments I'd heard were about how the Direct would have been overshadowed by whatever this podcast would have entailed and even then, it's not like these events couldn't have been on the same day? Sorry for the paragraph.
You think delaying a partner direct for a week is a big deal? Explain. If it was only just a pre recorded video in question sure
which by extension everything they said about switch 2 is wrong
All the more reason to delay, if they though it was a chance the Xbox stuff would dominate headlines. If Penny's Big Breakaway's release date is tied to the Direct, it's a pretty big deal for Christian Whitehead and company if the Direct is delayed.
All the more reason to delay, if they though it was a chance the Xbox stuff would dominate headlines.
And it would have been, had the info not leaked and caused a shitstorm. And it's pretty obvious that Microsoft's strategy has been leaking in real time, ie, before shit is actually settled on their end.Nothing is being nice. That shit could've been a tweet.
So, can we safely say that Nintendo didn't move the Direct because of that podcast?
There is no point in changing plans over what we got today, but Nintendo didn't know. Even if this was the sort of thing the Microsoft team would reach out to the Nintendo team about (it isn't), the whole PR strategy from MS these last two weeks has been slapdash, and I'm willing to get that the exact details of why Phil shared weren't settled until right before recording.I just don't see the point of changing plans over something like what we saw today.
Yes? It should be obvious that lots of parts are tied directly to a Direct. We’ve seen what happens when a Direct is delayed & the types of material attached to it. Even an internal delay can cause problems for companies. You think delaying a partner direct for a week is a big deal? Explain.
This place has gone to shit in a matter of hours
Ratio'd.20 quotes I never seen that, you got cooked
Cycloid. They should offer more options though. Toss in a circle pad version, and something akin to the Hori Split Pad Pros.To achieve a flatter profile and improve durability, what would people think of Nintendo using a cycloid or circle pad? With a click, of course. I think I'd be ok with it, I quite liked the circle pads but a larger size like the cycloid or Sega Saturn 3D Controller would be nice.
