I'm at the tail end of Pikmin 4, and just starting to get into Sea of Stars, along with Starfield only a few days away, so I really shouldn't need to pick anything up this month. That said, I'm sure there will be something.

Fae Farm - This is probably what I am most excited for as I think it really looks great. I realize there are a lot of these type games, but from what I've seen of it, I think it really stands out from the crowd.

* Visually it looks great
* Smooth and dynamic movement (you can jump) with no loading screens between your farm/town/shops
* Cross play with Switch and PC

If you haven't been following it, they got a lot of pushback when they announced it as a full $60 game, which I think is a little unfair, as it seems every bit as full featured as something like Harvest Moon or Rune Factory. As a result though, they reduced the Steam price to $40, and then made the $60 version a deluxe edition that will include 2 future DLC packs. On Switch they will only offer the Deluxe version, so only the $60 option is available. My only real hesitation with this game is that I primarily want to play it co-op with my wife and that would require 2 copies, so I'll probably hold off till I can find some kind of deal.

One of the most expensive months for me. Quite a diverse lineup, lots of amazing stuff to buy and beat within a month.

I'm quite hopeful for Chants of Sennaar. I played through the demo and posted some impressions here earlier, but basically I'm expecting a solid mystery adventure / puzzle game reminiscent of Return of the Obra Dinn. The demo featured a small stealth sequence that I didn't care for, but hopefully the main focus stays on the puzzles.

Didn't realize Cocoon would be out so soon, I'm also curious about that one for sure. There are also some steeps sales on at the moment, most notably 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, so we shall see whether I end up filling my backlog with old or new games. Baldur's Gate 3 on PS5 is also tempting.

Glad someone else is looking forward to Fae Farm, I kinda scoffed at the $60 price as well but after reading and watching more it really does seem to be a very packed, full-featured game and just looks wonderful. Like, one of those games where every time I see it I think "did they actually design this with me in mind?" -- I ended up preordering it to support.

My wife is interested too, but at full price we've agreed I'll check it out first and see how it is before we commit to two copies for co-op. I want to play it either way, solo or co-op.

I already paid for the Asian physical version ( since the current exchange for mx peso is very good) so that's pretty much the only thing I,m getting.

Since the last proper full release (DQXI in 2018) we've had Builders 2 and Treasures, and now Dai and DQM: The Dark Prince in the next couple months. I like them, but I feel like the series needs to get on with some proper RPGs soon. Not necessarily XII as that doesn't seem imminent, but that DQIII HD-2D remake or a localization of DQX Offline would be nice to see in the next 6-12 months.

Bunch of random stuff just went on sale. Probably still waiting for a bigger one on process of elimination(30%), Ace angler(30% again), Atari 50(15%), Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher(40%… I’m still waiting for at least 50), and then on P4G and P4AU I’m not buying till I finish P3P. Dawn of the monsters is tempting at half off but then I remember how many stalled out beat ‘em ups I have in the backlog and tell myself I should wait for a Gigabash sale.

There is one game I think I’ll bite on tho, We Love Katamari (base version) is down to $20 which is enough to make me bite considering how much fun I get out of those.

I picked up 13 Sentinels on sale as well as Minit Fun Racer (which I thought was fun enough for $2). I finished Pikmin 4 and Mario+Rabbids Sparks of Hope, so I'll either play 13 Sentinels next or Disco Elysium, which I bought on sale awhile back and haven't started yet.

I picked up Chants of Sennaar despite having a million other games to play and no time for anything. Based on the demo it should be a neat puzzle game, seems to be reviewing alright as well (https://opencritic.com/game/15460/chants-of-sennaar).

I had some worries about a stealth section in the demo, and those are also mentioned in some of the reviews. It just felt out of place, like something a publisher may have asked for to make the game more marketable than a raw puzzle game. I'll have to see for myself how much they actually affect the full experience.

I think they price errored on the launch discount for Sprout Valley - on Steam it’s 10% off but on Switch it’s a whopping 70% off, only $5. If you want it, you should grab it ASAP.

Yeah stick to 3 main games and start with the first. While the stories are mostly separate, there are few connections that tie them together.

I've really been enjoying Disco Elysium despite the game crashing for me a lot. I think tonight I'll power off my Switch completely and see if that helps anything. The game is hilarious and great though. I'll be sad when I finish it.
