I'll try my best but:
1. The board is currently fuelled on hopium after the shipping leaks and have started to treat "imminently" as "tomorrow". The discussion kinda devolved into thinking "soon" because of the shareholder meeting happening soon. Hence why we're here now.
2. "Objectively" we're just waiting for further information from the shipping leaks or a potential Switch 2 announcement. If the former comes first, then we're likely going to wait a few months longer. If the latter happens first, this forum will explode.

More shipping shenanigans that might or might not imply Switch 2 is chunkier. Marketing crystal ball peering about next week not having much to announce, which coincides with an investor call (?). Heroes 3 being the GOAT. Page count having relatable numbers.

Imagine if they named it the "Superplay" and it somehow caught on and sold like 110 million unites in 6yrs like the Switch lol.

I often wonder, if the Wii never happened, and the NG was gonna be called the Wii and it leaked, would any of us believe that it was called Wii?
 
Honestly, this time I have a bit of hope for the announcement. I won't say that next week is a safe bet, but I'm close to 50/50, which is the most confident I've ever been regarding the Switch 2 reveal.

Between the OLED private video, the amiibo restocks, the recent findings about possible mass producion (which was a great job on your part, guys!), the investors meeting and the Pokemon leak which as of today hasn't been proven wrong...I think this time there are hints that go way beyond wishful thinking.

Again, anything can happen and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if next week is just the usual investors meeting with some interesting numbers. But hey, let's enjoy the ride with hope!
