I feel like most people voted for that option before the week of the 12th rumors started really gaining traction. I was one of them. I now think it is less likely to be this week. As others have mentioned, this is also Splatoon 3's launch week and that seems to be their focus this week.
So I wrote off on reporting on Zippo awhile ago. The reasoning being that it looked like he was throwing everything at the wall and seeing what would stick - he has gotten so much wrong, the list is looking almost 6 to 1 in terms of wrong to correct. Now I know projects get cancelled and I know some things take a long time, but he has stated things in the past like "the lineup of a direct" and then literally none of those things were in the direct.

You would be extremely surprised to hear which famous Nintendo executives had accounts over at Resetera. I would know this because I approved some of those accounts during my brief 1-year stint as an administrator over there. To protect their privacy, I won't reveal any names or usernames. But the main point is: Nintendo isn't the bubble that people think it is. They do secretly get out there and interact with the fans on the internet.
Over at Era, there were so many instances when Nintendo Era members didn't realize they were arguing with famous Nintendo senior producers.Cerium and I would see Nintendo fans telling a senior Japanese Nintendo executive: "You're an idiot. You don't know what you're talking about"... Because they didn't know the user worked at Nintendo.
I know I was making a joke. Since every time a direct is near people use these sales as indicators.
