That's because a Partner Showcase makes no sense in the current context. Maybe it's a regular Mini, maybe it's a General, but there's no shot that it's a Partner.

That wasn't his source, that was someone from Giant Bomb. And anyways, this week has Labor Day, a Sony showcase (apparently), Splatoon 3 reviews, and Splatoon 3 release. It's pretty packed as it is.

Isn't the Sony showcase going to be next week though? Or perhaps even later? Or it's a State of Play of course, and not a full on showcase
 
In terms of bringing ds games to switch that rely on touch controls, camera, etc. If Nintendo really wants, they could release an accessory to the switch which is basically the touch screen of the ds with a camera installed. I see it as a replacement to the plastic holder for the switch joycons kinda. Like the joycons would connect to the side of the touch accessory to provide the battery and additional control buttons. Now this would most likely be a hella pricey accessory for the switch with most likely very limited use lol but it technically is a possibility. Imagine them releasing a ds conpliation pack along with the accessory (thinking how the ring was packaged with ring fit tho that ring of plastic is much easier to make than a touch screen lol).

Can't decide between joke Direct prediction or actual attempt Direct prediction. Probably I'll just combine the two genres into something longwinded and uncomfortable for us all.
 
I can't believe we only have to wait 7 to 8 more days until Nintendo announces the Bakugan Direct

Leak One made me laugh at the audacity of Nintendo ending a direct with a Wario World Remake. Leak Two's addition of Game and Watch to NSO is certainly an original idea.

My bet is Fire Emblem 17 in April/May, Echoes: Genealogy of the Holy War in December '23 or February '24 depending on the Drake situation.
