has this ever happened with botw1?

Yes. That exact image appear on Amazon just before E3 2016. People were analyzing the image. I remember many people correctly concluded that the Temple of Time was in the image and there was a lot of debate about what the tower was.

So here's something kind of interesting. Sakurai's YouTube Channel created a playlist called "News" today. And it includes the video talking about the channel itself and all of his creative works.
unknown.png

While it's likely just for the channel itself, it does contain his gaming resume as previously mentioned.

This playlist could potentially contain future videos that talk about new projects he is working on to make his resume more organized on his channel.

What's also interesting is the timing of this.

We're currently in Direct season rn, and I believe Kid Icarus Uprising has been speculated about as a potential remaster being worked by Bandai Namco. Which Sakurai would surely have a hand in and definitely upload that he's working on it onto his channel.

Source:

Sakurai only wrapped up his Famitsu column and his work on Smash Ultimate last year. No doubt he's got some kind of game in the works, but I wouldn't count on seeing it any time soon, even if it is a port and not an original game.

I don't think he's going to use his educational channel to promote his upcoming games, considering that the introductory video takes pains to emphasize the purity of the project to the point that he's not advertising on it and is losing money making these.

Work schedule came out and I’m off the 13th and 14th so either one of those days would be perfect.

If Sakurai makes another game, I hope it’s something completely brand new

Ice Climbers would also be good

so either one of those

TFW you’re in the process of starting a second musical project and are impatiently waiting for your producer to let you hear a sample of what they’re working on, so you send an email that casually drops a hint like “hey how’s it going I’m always down to give feedback haha!” but then you feel bad because you know you can’t rush perfection and have to give the producer the two week time period they promised

Can anyone relate?
Soooo

I finally got a bit of nerve and emailed him asking if there’s anything I can do to help, or if there are any updates

Fingers crossed 🤞 he responds soon!

I want to believe in the Kid Icarus Uprising port "Rumors" but I can't fathom having both Battle Network and Kid Icarus Uprising both coming to the Switch in the same year as more Xenoblade content.

Its scientifically impossible to make me that happy.

I leave the thread for one minute and all of a sudden everyone is talking about a brand new Tomodachi Life.

he's kidding i think

I didn’t say he wasn’t? Yes, he is just poking fun at the conversation about GameCube remasters coming

Specifically I was saying that I felt he was poking fun at specific Twitter folks who like to jump on / co-sign real insiders for attention

How are we missing it when we haven't spoken on the content of the Direct? Grubb spoke of WW/TP being in the Direct and how Mike and himself have knowledge of that. No one has given any all encompassing thoughts. Emily nor myself have given any comment on what may be there. The only thing I've said remotely related to the Direct is that I think BotW2 has a good chance of being there in reply to a Twitter question.

And if they mean BotW2... then say it. It's not like BotW2 is some unknown quantity.
This is indeed very strange. I don't understand how people think most of the insiders have said anything specifically about the direct. Only words have been it's happening, and Jeff and Mike saying TP/TWW. That's it. Nobody has given any other actual details.

Whenever I see a new person with a new account write that they’ve been a long time lurker I wonder how many people read all the stupid shit we post. I use to have some subconscious ignorance, allowing me to believe that on a busier evening, no more than 30 people read any given comment, but the Direct buzz in this thread and the articles that have referenced FamiBoards in the last 2 days have intruded on the belief of a somewhat hidden message boards. The notion that FamiBoards is becoming more publicly recognized begs the follow up question from the last threadmark...

Do you think Teletubbies would watch the Direct on their own stomach or would they stand next to another Teletubby and watch the Direct on each others’ stomach?

On each other's, definitely.

I've been lurking since this was an Era crowd in like 2017 I think? Just to keep up on all the latest tasty rumors and madness. But I never liked Era's vibe for... Well, lots of obvious reasons. Fami is much more inviting.

Neither, they would Bluetooth cast the Direct to the baby in the sun, which is actually just a giant spherical screen showing looping footage of a baby because the aliens that monitor their research habitat found that it calms them.

I've been lurking for months but only today I thought on creating an account. I think most people just dont feel the need to interact and others just are here to look at leaks or something like that.

Never considered Bluetooth, definitely changes the conversation.

Similarweb estimates this place gets like 1-million-plus visits a month, increasing month-on-month.

Idk, maybe I'll fuck around and get into teletubbies lore

Edit: baby teletubbies exist, apparently. Seen in the 370th episode (holy shit there are a lot of episodes) titled "Babies" are teletubby babies, implying the four main characters are actually full grown adults.

Edit: wtf? The primary driving force of each episode seems to be commands and instructions given by the "voice trumpets", disembodied voices coming from several speakers on long poles coming from the ground. Are they really being monitored by aliens or something? Are the aliens humans? Was @ElisaurusWrecks joking?

Edit: apparently there are exactly five different models of voice trumpets seen throughout the show, with all five being shown in the intro. Except for a rare sixth model, seen in only two episodes. What's so special about this one?

Edit: episodes are 24+ minutes long??? Each episode blurb is like a paragraph. What is happening in these episodes? I'd hate to see a filler arc.

Edit: that windmill is definitely discharging some type of agent.

Edit: yeah, the voice trumpets actually rise up from the ground to deliver their commands. Unsettling. I want to know who is controlling the teletubbies, and why they deem it necessary to disguise their influence by distancing themselves. Are they a bunch of British whitecoats writing notes? Who's paying them to do this? What's the purpose of this operation? I need to see behind the curtain. The existence of a rare sixth voice trumpet is nagging me.

Edit: there's an episode called Numbers - 7 that is about the number seven. Like, learning how to count to seven. I've seen children's show episodes based around a letter, it this is the first time I've seen one based around a number. Feels weird. It's the 225th episode of the show. I really hope they're teaching them in order.

Edit: THAT WAS THE FINAL NUMBERS EPISODE. THEY LITERALLY GAVE UP TEACHING KIDS NUMBERS AFTER SEVEN. Apparently all the Numbers episodes were scattered amongst the first 67 episodes of the original series (as opposed to the reboot), with 7 being episode 67.

The Numbers episodes, in order of airing, were:

Ep. 003: Numbers - 1
Ep. 013: Numbers - 2
Ep. 023: Numbers - 5
Ep. 025: Numbers - 4
Ep. 027: Numbers - 6
Ep. 034: Numbers - 1 (Version 2)
Ep. 042: Numbers - 2 (Version 2)
Ep. 055: Numbers - 5 (Version 3) WTF??
Ep. 067: Numbers - 7
Ep. 110: Numbers - 5 (Version 2)

So there's no 3 episode. Just skipped a whole number. The third one. And why did they redo some of the episodes? Did they fuck up teaching kids 1, 2, and 5 the first time around? Why spend the time and money redoing numbers they've already covered instead of going back to the one they missed?
And why did they redo 5 *twice??
And how was 5 (Version 3) aired before (5 Version 2)???

Edit: the faceless flowers talk

Editing my above comment as I go deeper into this rabbit hole. Not sure if I'm liking what I'm finding

It’s ok man, I watched Teletubbies as a kid all the time, and I finished school when I was 6 years older than 7 years old, which is pretty impressive. I never understood why the other kids didn’t think they finished after grade 7.

"People pay to see clowns and we have the biggest clown show on earth"

This, for some reason, scratched a core memory of the music my dad listened to while I was growing up because my head went immediately to this song:

it is now my headcanon that this is the song @bellydrum sings to himself while checking notifications
