Time for some prediction, assuming as always that we will get 2/3 first party announcements:
FIRST PARTY
1. New Fire Embelm game (First Half of 2023);
2. Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp (Jan/Feb 2023);
3. Bayonetta 3 (Final trailer);
4. Metroid Prime HD/Remake
5. Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WIld (First official trailer with the title, generic Spring 2023 (release date with the new console))

Four days from now is September 2nd, which is read as the reverse of February 9th - 2/9/2022 versus 9/2/2022, depending on how your region reads dates. Google is misinterpreting the date

Well the tweet was from yesterday which was the 28th and Google showed that in the US. 4 days from the 28th would be September 1st but if it's still showing 4 days then I have no idea how it estimates days and time.

That's crazy, the more I looked at it the more I thought option 1 was easy peasy. But I'm not a Pimin, F-Zero or Golden Sun fan (yet) so I guess that's why lmaoo
I would pick the first because of 2 reasons, I would also prefer a different 3D Mario (not complaining about odyssey 2 tho) and seeing truly new ideas for 2D mario would be goated. But aside from Mario both of these would be kind of mid for me anyway, personally

I know everyone loves to talk about how Pokémon always does their own thing, but new generations have always shown up in directs at some point, with SwSh being a headliner for the September Direct a few years back.

This is super tough for me because Prime HD has been my most anticipated game of the year for a while now, and Prime 4 would be nuts. I'm also not crazy about Fire Emblem, but GBA emulation is more meaningful to me than GC since I played most of the amazing GC games already. BOTW 2 is my most anticipated game of all time. Switch Pro with substantial ass upgrades would be so hype. I think B still might win for Metroid, Mario, and underrepresented franchises getting their due though. Even with a delay, we know BOTW 2 is still coming. Golden Sun, F-Zero, Pimin, 3D Mario, and Metroid bangers in a single direct would be historic.

This is an easy Option A for me. Holy hell, BotW2 full reveal alone would be #$%^(&!. Throwing in A NEW FRIGGIN 2D MARIO FINALLY would be &#$(&^%!$&@&*^#%(!.
And then Switch Advance. I'd ASPLODE.
Prime 4 delay would be a bummer for the fans, but Prime Remake is said to be a big project so it could be worse. F-Zero would be amazing, but it's not BotW or 2D Mario amazing, I'm sorry.

People who pick option B for Mario are funny. You read that you would get an announcement for a Mario game releasing 2 years later? So you want an announcement and then go back to seeing the game as rarely as BotW 2 right now?
For the price of also delaying Zelda even further!
Basically option B is Nintendo not having a Zelda game and not a Mario game (not counting potential unknown spinoffs in this scenario)!
And that while option A would give you a Mario game much sooner, too.
