There was also a major DQXIS segment and I can't remember what else but I'm pretty sure I bought 3 games instantly after that direct.

The proper title reveal of BotW2 is hopefully imminent.

Bursts of excitement is simply a natural byproduct of that very same hopeful imminence.
 
ACTUALLY no screw this how is anyone still talking about a potential Direct when Nate "Drake" The Hate actually confirmed to us we're living in one of his testing simulations to be experimented upon for his own enjoyment?

I bet Nate's just in a white coat looking down on us from a window, dripfeeding Direct info to see the results, testing us to see if he's able to condition us into being able to snap and doompost with the uttering of a single word..

The year is 2028. It has been over 6 years since the last Nintendo Direct. The sequel to Breath of the Wild gets delayed every year in financial reports, the Switch is still selling at the top of the market in spite of there having not been a single Nintendo developed or published game since Splatoon 3. Metroid Prime HD has been rumored for over a decade now, the investors seem to be content with Prime 4 happening sometime by 2040.

It's almost midnight on December 31st, the Speculation Thread is in a frenzy as the New Year arrives.

Nintendo breaks their pattern of SILENCE. It's 2029.

General Direct, 40 minutes, shadow drops.

It's just third party games and Advance Wars 1 & 2 Reboot Camp, still no release date, launching before the end of the year.

Completely unrelated, but remember when Nintendo showed off Cramorant and Pokemon Camp on that September 4th direct a while back? Crazy

4 online service maintenance updates for 4 seperate unknown titles. Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA, and Gamecube (Turbografix or Game Gear if they get crazy)

This doesn't look like one of those "fun stuff". No pokémon has those color palettes (well maybe except for Bruxish). This i,s definitely a tease for a brand new Pokémon reveal. Maybe a regional Smeargle?

It says the Direct will have Mario Odyssey 2, Zelda HD Collection (TP / WW), Metroid Prime 4, Pikmin 4 and a Star Fox game.

Basically it's not even an entertaining or somewhat compelling fake. It's just super bullshit.

I think the next direct will reveal the title of the sequel to BotW. I feel like they may want to focus on splatoon these next few weeks and then come in towards the end of the month with a direct going over the rest of the year and finishing up with the BotW2 trailer. They'd likely confirm the Spring release window and confirm the release date at TGA.

The only issue I have with my theory is that I believe the Metroid remake for the holiday is real. If it's supposed to release in November or December, then announcing it at the end of the month could be cutting it a bit too close

Looks like NoA is silenting hard on a monday again, i hope they're not having a silent hangover tomorrow from all the silenting today.

I'm really looking forward to a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night 2, but only if the Switch version gets the proper attention from the get-go this time. The state in which the original launched was astonishing in a bad way and the fact that the publisher (505 Games) resorted to rather scummy practices to hide it until the eleventh-hour was the cherry on top.

Didn't they just announce another update with a Journey cross over? What makes you say the chances are high, I haven't kept up with Bloodstained news but I love Iga's games

I forgot if general Directs are being announced one or two days before airing, but if it's two days then you don't want them to silent hard tomorrow if you want a Direct this week. ;D
