So I’m trying to understand what is going on, can someone tell me if I’m right or wrong?
  • All the leakers say that the direct is going to be on the 15th and that it will be a partner showcase
  • Nintendo dropped (and removed?) an article about Peach that should have come out on the 14th
  • So now we have two possible outcomes: a direct mini (shadowdropped) on the 14th or a partner (shadowdropped or announced) on the 15th

Is this all?

    I’ll kick things off with my favorite original vocal song in a Nintendo game, Reincarnation from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. Yoshino Nanjo of Love Live fame absolutely killed it with this song and the moment I heard it I knew that game was going to be absolutely special.

    It's a great song by itself, but the moment at which it plays in-game - which I won't spoil - makes it one of my favorite game songs of all time without question. One of the best moments in the entire game.

    I'm playing through FFVI pixel remaster now and I was beyond happy and surprised that they added vocals to the opera scene.

    The song itself is already a timeless classic, but this made it better in my opinion!



    You know, I've always wished that Tears of the Kingdom would have a theme song. It would've been so cool.

    Just in case the Nintendo Direct (Mini/Mini: Partner Showcase) is announced tomorrow and this thread closes, I just wanted to say thank you all for making this such a memorable speculation period! This is the first time I've ever actively participated in a thread on Famiboards and so, while kind of intimidating, it's been truly a fun time! We went through so many ups and downs over the past couple weeks, so much speculation and reading between the lines... it was all so crazy and fun in my opinion! I'm really excited for what is next for Nintendo, whether it's this Direct, the probable Pokémon Presents, and (hopefully) the reveal of the Next-Generation Nintendo console in the next coming weeks! There's so much ahead and it's genuinely an exciting time!

    Thank you all again for making the speculation during this Nintendo Direct cycle so fun! I hope that you all have a great time watching this Direct and I can't wait to do this again with the lead up to the next Nintendo Directs and (hopefully, again) the Next-Generation Nintendo console presentation! I'll see you all in other threads and around in general!! :)

    Great pick! FFVI is my favorite FF game and I’m really glad I got to go to one of the FF concerts that played the full opera live! Felt very special at the time :)

    Oooooh okay so one of the earliest video games vocal songs I heard (honestly one of the earliest ones ever made, probably) is still one of my favorite songs ever: Radical Dreamers ~ Unstolen Jewel ~



    It was also the song that pretty much solidified my love of Mitsuda.


    Then, fast forward about.. 20 years or so? To this song that is a recent love of mine:



    I know it didnt come out 20 years after CC but I meant like the amount of time for me since I only played Replicant a couple years ago 😅

    I’ve become more down for an FFVI remake in the sense I think it would kind be its own thing at that point and wouldn’t take away from the original. I really want a non pixel remaster version of the original on Switch…

    I was at the Nier Orchestra in Berlin on Saturday and it was one fthe best best things ever
    Emi Evans has the voice of an angel and J'nique has so much power.
    I loved it.
    Here the credit song from Nier Automata, maybe kinda fitting for the direct situation.

    Oh god Kainé and Emils vocal songs are sooo good, you should see them live if you ever get the chance.
    Kainé was the closer the orchestra concert even.
     
    I don't really care if we get a Mini or Partner this week as long as the Switch2 reveal is soon.

    And if it is a partner Direct, and since "Fatal Fight" from Xenosaga has been on my mind the past few days, I'll post this awesome official trailer that uses the vocal song "Fatal Fight" in hopes that Xenosaga makes an appearance there.

    I KNOW 😭😭😭

    The concert was in my state recently and I had no idea until I saw people talking about how good it was the following day. I 100% woulda made a weekend out of going to see it had I known ahead of time.

    I was a big fan of Guitar Hero and played all of them and the Rock Bands minus a few of the side games. The first two Guitar Heroes had some extra fun personality thanks to the Harmonix band songs and “Guitar Hero” here was one of my favorites. It had a very fun note chart and the solo was so rad!

    I cancelled a vacation once because I heard that there were thousands of podcast episodes about to release

    at some point all you can do is just sit there and stare at the ceiling for a while
     
    I don't want to sound all doom and gloom, but since there wasn't an announcement of a Direct or Partner showcase, and we got 2 trailers of Splatoon 3, we pretty much ain't getting something this week?

    I'd go even further and say they might well be just sacrificing the last few Switch-only months to focus on a strong Switch 2 launch. Like, no unannounced first party games at all until the Switch 2, even if a good portion of their launch window titles will inevitably be cross gen

    It makes more sense to me to just go all in that way on a new system and while not really muddying the waters too much with support for the old one, hence the Contractual Obligation Direct

    It's still Tuesday? Announcements happen ons day before presentations now, and Partner Showcases and Minis tend to be shadowdropped anyways.

    The only place still Tuesday that's inhabited by people is currently 8:22PM. They ain't announcing something happening today (Wednesday) at 9pm for the American Samoan islands. It's definitely not out of the question that we see a Direct on Thursday announced in about 7 and a half hours, but it's super unlikely.

    please for the love of god if you've never played bugsnax please do it. it's fucking bugsnax. i know it's kind of a meme, but sony was right to get exclusivity rights, it was just too bad its meme status kinda killed any serious interest. it was the best game on PS5 for years too.
