Nintendo performance threads tend to get out of hand and at least attempting to be data driven. I’m also here for “just for entertainment” conspiracy mongering and wild flights of fancy! I just don’t want to mix my chocolate and my pickles.

I also, personally, feel a weird sense of responsibility, once I realized that Dakhil’s thread had become Nintendo fandom’s think tank. But that isn’t something that is - or has to be - universally shared.
 
Wow, the internet is going to be insufferable about this tomorrow.

Not sure why that got posted without it being hidden, at least. Completely anonymous image with no way to verify it...

An unverified & dubious image taken from somewhere, presumably Twitter, was posted here showing the Switch Dev Portal being updated with an NX2 page. This image was then deleted from Twitter.

A known dataminer chimed in with their personal thoughts on when NX2 would be announced.

I've been surprisingly quiet throughout all this but I'm so proud of the sheer anarchy and chaos I've seen unfold.

Pablo really has taken the entire torch for those who believe in this year's release and burned everything.

It's beautiful to behold. Beautiful madness.

Let a thousand blossoms bloom I say, the ball is in the court of Nintendo now. I expect the next couple of weeks to wrap this up.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for sharing these tweets that might've not helped with the following discussion that happened about Kotick's comments from the FTC hearing. A lot of tweets were making rounds about the hearing already at that point but I feel partially responsible for the discussion here that happened after because I was impulsively sharing stuff from the hearing even if I wasn't actively listening to the hearing at all times (and I don't recall that I was listening when Kotick made those comments).

That's exactly what it's doing. Assuming anytime before September counts as immediate.

It's suggesting an announcement prior to her previous expectation of September. It's putting forth that idea.

Though it's not disavowing the possibility of the September announcement either.

It's not asserting it will. It's not a statement of fact.

But it is suggesting it, as an outcome

And fwiw an assumption is a claim of confidence, just one without total proof. That said, that was about September, not sooner.

And it's probably a huge revelation for people who don't trust random images, value her opinion, and weren't expecting to hear anything until next year. Because even with an assumption of September or sooner - even just September - that's a lot closer than the early to mid 2024 some were expecting.


I know these are semantics. I'm not trying to hold her to some vow she didn't make. Nothing said was definitive.

But that tweet does suggest something (a few things, actually), it just doesn't posit any as fact.

Again, I don't really like to announce this kind of thing or starting drama, but people would do best to put Pablo on ignore and stop responding to them

All they've done since registering is post low effort bait in this thread

Watch them theory craft on it anyways. That sub has gone downhill this year with a number of leaks and reposts of people who shouldn't even be heard at this stage (cough ZIPPO cough.)

It's a wonderful, entertaining trashfire.

Don't get me started on all the Activision/Blizzard reposts like it's a gaming news sub. Only two posts are relevant to any actual leaks of interest. The rest? Just console warring fluff pieces that don't belong.

They banned him last year I remember and they still had posts involving "leaks" from him this year every Direct season. The mods are terrible at their jobs over there.

I could say something here or in any other forum that could be very, very convincing to some people and it'll be reposted over there as a leak.

Trust me, it's been tempting.
 
@P4bl0 it's incredibly easy to make an image like that. I was in bed, saw this thread, ran downstairs, whipped up those pictures I posted above, and posted it before my spouse could ask what the heck I was doing
 
A 2023 or 2024 launch doesn't matter. The Real question is when will Majoras Mask 3D 4K(dlss) raytraced now with new masks edition launch.

According to the protocol handbook, I'm pretty sure you're meant to assure the unsuspecting denizens that this is very, very legit and you verified it yourself.

But you must be incredibly cagey about where you found it and how you ensured its veracity.
