Im hoping for DK too but i think its a smaller chance idk. If it does happen though I will be super super excited
 
Don’t think there will be a big BotW2 blowout here. New trailer + title drop, which will be enough to get most people—myself included—excited and satisfied with the additional benefit of getting to speculate on what the title entails for the game. Botw2 will likely receive its own direct some time closer to release as they usually do for their bigger releases, so going to have to wait for that for any substantial info imo.

Yeah. I think the smaller announcements have been better. It helps with 3rd party giving better support as time has gone on.

The Reddit leaker (the guy who leaked most of the screenshots) said that there are towns and dungeons and an overworld in this game, so the free-roam elements may be a lot larger in scope this time around. Which would make a lot of sense. Modern FE is increasingly ambitious, I don't think they wanna just do the same thing as Three Houses again for the next big new mainline game and call it a day. It would make sense to increase the scope and change up the structure of the game in general, which in turn could help increase the sales beyond what 3H achieved. The question is: exactly how much larger will the scope be expanded in this game?

I really hope in the reveal trailer we get to see some of the scope of the towns. I know sometimes Nintendo will barely show anything in that aspect so it’s hard to gauge.

Probably a smaller presence in the Direct comparatively, but it'll probably still get a trailer, even if it is a repeat

I think we'll see a lot of remakes, remasters, and re-releases from companies over the years just because how it takes to make a new game these days. Nintendo publishes a lot of titles but the typical third party only puts out a few maybe a year. If you don't have a GaaS game bringing in continuous revenue, a publisher may have large gaps in the year without new sources of money. Well what better way to fill those gaps then with releases of old games?

Same. If the Reddit leaker is accurate, then I do think we'll probably see the greatly expanded scope shown off in the reveal trailer. If you recall the original Three Houses reveal trailer, the monastery was revealed mid-way through the trailer as a kind of "oh shit!" reveal. I'm imagining something similar with the FE Toothpaste trailer—the first half of the trailer can show off some sort of explorable base that acts as a red herring of sorts, until we get to the middle of the trailer and the "oh shit!" moment happens when it shows the protag running around some huge overworld and different towns and biomes and whatnot.

Something out of left field might be a teaser of the game followed by the announcement of a dedicated event centered around it sometime in November or December. They had a ton of success partially due to getting the first game into people's hands at E3, but this time that won't be possible since it's (at the moment) planned to release before E3 2023.

I’m expecting quite a few big drops at this direct! If you think about it most games that are releasing have been announced and that leaves lots of room for surprises!

well ey, I'm down. I want some remakes for the FE Elibe saga (Binding Blade and Blazing Blade) in particular :p

Modernize the characterization to the levels of 3H, tweak and revamp some story elements, and some other things and we'll get top tier games set for release :>

Pretty sure Persona 5 Royal and Humankind console ports are also counted toward those. And P3P & P4G ports could be out before the FY ends and that leaves us with 3 games. Whatever they are I'm confident that one of those will be at next Direct. More VanillaWare ports are the best bet, modern consoles could see Dragon's Crown and Odin Sphere re-releases.
