Has anyone actually come out in said that F-Zero GX is rumored? I feel like it's just mainly been inference by the community. Insiders say that Nintendo is making heavily requested remasters of GC games, a lot of people here want F-Zero GX HD, therefore, F-Zero GX must be one of the rumored HD remasters. But I can't recall anyone with credibility actually saying that F-Zero GX is getting a remaster, unless I missed it.

Please add Twilight Princess like Hidden Skills please
If they bring back 3d Zelda sword play back I would already be pretty happy.
As someone who only likes to play with sword BOTW was a step in the wrong direction. Now basically you just spam the attack button.
Somehow the way sword was controlled before made me feel more connected to the character. My only grip with it was that you didn't had much reason to master the movements. Though you needed if you wanted to be the master at the arts of cutting signs.

I'd prefer focusing the resources on doing one thing really well than having the weapons variety without much depth on each one.

Let's separate the potential announcements into leaks and rumors from insiders:

Leaked (rating board/retailer):
  • Batman Arkham Collection
  • Remnant From The Ashes
  • Biomutant
  • Humankind
  • Risen Remastered
  • Skyrim Anniversary Edition
  • Saga Frontier 2 Remastered

From insiders:
  • LoZ Twilight Princess & Wind waker
  • Metroid Prime remaster
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare
  • Metal Gear Solid 1-2-3
  • It Takes Two

Let's see how many of these will be there.

Tanabe-san, if you're reading...it's true, I may not vibe with Paper Mario too much, nowadays. But I'm certainly HERE for all the Metroid Prime expanded universe and lore!

I think it's referring to that SyluxHunter tweet about YGBP/You Got Boost Power

If he said to keep expectations in check, I'd imagine it would constitute a port of an existing game versus a new entry, but given that the series has been on ice for nearly two decades I could imagine Nintendo would want to keep the risk minimal to see if it's worthwhile investing in a new title.

Telling the fans to keep their expectations in check is weird because I imagine that a good majority of F-Zero fans would by super hyped for an F-Zero GX Remaster. Heck, probably of a good portion would prefer that over a brand new F-Zero. So if that tweet is actually referring to something real, I don't think it is referring to a GX Remaster. That or Syluxhunter just has a giant disconnect between what they think fans want and what they actually want.

good is relative...for me it looks rather booring except of zelda. im fine with rereleases, remasters and stuff... but im still mostly interested in new gaming experiences, and a presentation filled to the rim with ports and remasters gives me a sour taste.

Also: whats up with Skyrim, that has to be a joke, right? =O

Right? GX still looks absolutely stunning and seeing it in Dolphin outputting at 1080p60 shows how much detail went into this game. The art often shows paint flecks missing on vehicles that no one would have seen on a 480p console; it's literally a game that only is missing expanded multiplayer options for local and online play (and maybe some difficulty tuning adjustments to make it more accessible). If ever there were a game that just needed some additional polish to be made presentable for 2022 instead of being rebuilt from the ground up, it's F-Zero GX.

If it's not a GX port, then all I could think is maybe F-Zero Grand Prix is among the launch titles for GBA NSO and...yeah, that would almostly certainly bring my hype right down from the stratosphere.

Nintendo execs, have I got something that will blow your mind:

Did you know that YOUR company released a beloved game in the west that none of you have ever heard of??? It's called Startropics and it's about a young baseball player visiting his Indiana Jones knockoff uncle and then proceeding to take out an evil alien overlord while enlisting the help of a friendly dolphin and your very own ROB.

You guys should play it!!

I apologize for taking so long to respond to everyone. For the record, I do read everyone's posts. Please don't think I'm ignoring you.

You would be extremely surprised to hear which famous Nintendo executives had accounts over at Resetera. I would know this because I approved some of those accounts during my brief 1-year stint as an administrator over there. To protect their privacy, I won't reveal any names or usernames. But the main point is: Nintendo isn't the bubble that people think it is. They do secretly get out there and interact with the fans on the internet.

Over at Era, there were so many instances when Nintendo Era members didn't realize they were arguing with famous Nintendo senior producers. Cerium and I would see Nintendo fans telling a senior Japanese Nintendo executive: "You're an idiot. You don't know what you're talking about"... Because they didn't know the user worked at Nintendo. 😬
i hope they left that forum. and joined here >_>

On this topic. Just release Zoda’s revenge on NSO

I really can't imagine they'll put MP remake, WW and TP remasters, and an F-zero remaster all in the same direct.
I just have a feeling that we're getting towards the final legs of the Switch's lifespan so they're probably going to push more remasters in the next couple of years.

Let's just say fans of a certain lunchbox-shaped game system will have plenty to tweet about.
This is the exact kind of statement that's both applicable to when something DOES happen (tweet about it) and when something does NOT happen (tweet about it). =P

Few enough people played F-Zero GX that it may as well be new. Wouldn’t look that out of place with a few nudges here or there.

The tweet that was replying to (now deleted) was specifically talking about a new game, not just an F-Zero revival. The "lower your expectations" would fit if it was a GX remaster.

Reminder to the good people of this thread that The Game Awards is no longer (and has been for a while) not a viable option to expect Nintendo news anymore. I genuinely believe that due to the Reggie <---> Doug Bowser regime change, apart from Sephiroth in Smash of course Nintendo no longer sees TGA as something to use for announcements.

small question like that but have we had rumors about a remake of ALTTP or ALTTP on gb on the nso?
I don't think anything has been said about a remake. Whenever NSO GBA happens, I think that version of LTTP is a safe bet, though. The leaked NSO GBA stuff had a ton of games both first and third party for testing purposes, so I wouldn't read anything specific from it about what/when things will show up.
Why in God's name would the switch get another version of Skyrim?
Because other versions have things Skyrim Switch 2017 doesn't. And at this point, if we're lucky it would be a version meant to take better advantage of upcoming hardware.

If they had been planning to release remasters all this time I kinda wish they had created a ‘Classics’ branding for them, had cover art that matched the OG release and such.

Why in God's name would the switch get another version of Skyrim?
Because of three things:
A) Other consoles got the Anniversary edition which adds fishing(?) among other things, including like 200 Creation Club mods or something? IIRC
B) Todd Howard
C) Todd Howard

I find it hilarious that ever since Reggie left Nintendo, people still expect him to announce something Nintendo-related anytime he has appeared at TGA. Can you imagine the job you quit years ago requesting you make announcements for them?

Fully prepared to be as annoying as possible about F-Zero GX being a huge departure from the impeccable style of X.
Are you going to sit here and tell me that, while yes, it was a stylistic departure from the impeccable F-Zero X, that the genius brains behind Daytona USA made an F-Zero game that is worth being annoying about???
