I hope Monolith gets the Xenoblade 3 story content out before BotW sequel releases. That would make five Xenoblade releases between the most recent Zelda games.

I'm not serious. Please don't delay Zelda again Nintendo. I'm thirsty for more Zelda content like everyone else...

@Bonejack is frantically running around trying to keep people in check, involuntarily watering folks' lawns.

hmm my lawn is looking a bit yellow lately

OI, ZELDA IS NEVEAR HAPPENING ANYMORE!

"Spring 2023" is just code for "lmao, lemme spring 2023 reasons on you why they will delay this game to Fall 2023" if you really think about it.
"Fall 2023" is just code for "lmao, they are gonna drop this game like a hot potato, gg suckers."

Just breathe. Zelda always arrives, eventually.

Wait wait wait
But what if the direct is tomorrow?
We think that it’s a September direct because Nate said so, but doesn’t it depends on the timezone? Maybe it’s tomorrow (1st in EU/JAP/AU)

I just feel that if it was happening this week, we would have had 'something' from Nate, but then again, I guess it could be this week and he is just choosing to be quiet.

I don't necessarily think it'll be delayed, but similarly I don't necessarily think BotW2 is a must for a September Direct (IF one should exist).

It's a big enough game in its own right to have its own focused Direct a month or two before release. Similarly this wouldn't even 'typically' be the last general Direct before release anyway. Good chance we get another one in February as per most years, so it could theoretically be saved until then.

If Nintendo have been reluctant to reveal its title up until now as they apparently think it could be a mild spoiler, it would be understandable if they'd still be reluctant to do so now. I know it feels right around the corner, but it's worth reiterating that at this moment in time the game is probably more than half a year away.
It would be super weird if there is a regular September direct without even a mentioning of BOTW2. It‘s not like that game is that far off and we know basically nothing about it. And yes Zelda dosen‘t really need a direct, but Nintendo needs to generate Hype around their games including Zelda. That‘s the whole point of Directs. And a big game like Zelda is perfect for that.

When are vibes "on" then, exactly?
Direct should be on September 1st. Even tho I was stupid enough to vote 6/8 'cause I forgot about Splatoon (lol)

So announcement in less than 1 hour if partner or less than 25h if general direct?
I'd say announcement within 26h no matter what to be safe. I'm still a believer of 53min from now, but if it's this week it'll be today or tomorrow at/before 4 PM CEST

Correct, there is no guarantee that we see Zelda at all.

Yeah they're announcing it today if it is the 1st
If we don't get anything today I guess they're doing the partner showcase next week.

I wish that Nintendo would clock the Switch CPU to 1.2Ghz giving devs a bit more room for physics, AI and more. It would also help CPU limited games to perform a tad better

Maybe this is just copium, but a full Direct without BotW2 at this point would honestly be the most baffling and surprising move Nintendo could ever do.

It'd be like if Sony announced a big PS5 showcase in June... and just didn't show off God of War: Ragnarok. Or if Microsoft didn't show off Starfield at this year's E3. It's something that's genuinely hard to fathom unless the game is having serious, serious issues with development.

Honestly with some of the things Nintendo has pulled the last few years it's like they're slowly going third party lol.

I think they will save it for the reveal trailer for the new Switch. They will at most show a short trailer in September.
