Maybe this is just copium, but a full Direct without BotW2 at this point would honestly be the most baffling and surprising move Nintendo could ever do.

It'd be like if Sony announced a big PS5 showcase in June... and just didn't show off God of War: Ragnarok. Or if Microsoft didn't show off Starfield at this year's E3. It's something that's genuinely hard to fathom unless the game is having serious, serious issues with development.

Agreed, for some reason I've been thinking they can just show it next year but honestly IF they have a general direct that's as big as they usually are it would just be truly bizarre at this point to not have Zelda there. The only reason I can think of why I'm doubting its appearance is "because it's Zelda" lol

This I can see happening, and that would make sense if it is a new Switch reveal thing. A short 2 minute title-reveal trailer showing off the main new gimmick and story premise would be 'something.' They even did similarly with BotW back in the day (short trailer at The Game Awards, big one at the Switch Presentation).

But what I was talking about there is if they just... didn't show it to any reasonably significant extent. Even if they bring Aonuma out again to say "Please wait a little longer," with a short clip of Link wiping his arse, it'd still be incredibly surprising considering how relatively close the game should be right now.

I’m feeling good we see something today. Not sure if it’s in 30 minutes or if it’s a Direct, but I’m getting excited regardless.

I'm fully expecting a direct to be like September 13 or 14 to completely screw me with the tax deadline creeping up.

As long as a different member of the Fami predicts the day is the day everyday, we have a 100% hit rate for when announcements happen.
 
Wouldn't the announcement be tomorrow if it's on the 1st? I guess they could pull anything but still

Could be major copium talking but... it literally has to be on the 1st unless Nintendo wants to throw out the pattern of being before TGS that they've kept up for the past six years
