A map basted structure also works best for a strategy game IMO.

Actually, an open world Pikmin might be really cool.

Imagine the game takes place in a single yard and house. You can go outside and inside while exploring. It would give some really neat areas to explore since you'll be doing it at a tiny size.

I imagine it would feel a bit like Chibi-Robo, only expanded and with Pikmin.

Honesty it felt super weird to me. Nate fuels a lot of that discussion (whether he wants to or not) and also makes plenty of speculative videos. Honestly seemed a tad over the top and hypocritical. A huge section of his viewers (which he profits from) are there for Nintendo rumors and speculation and leaks. They went for the jugular then like two minutes later were talking about Metroid Prime and a possible September Direct.
 
Speaking of Splatoon. If someone here not played Salmon Run match where it's literally so much going on that game is dropping frames so much then you are not Splatoon fan.

I wouldnt even say that’s a hot take, SMB3 vs SMW is a platformer debate for the ages, both are still awesome in how they set out a new thing to play with on almost every stage over dozens of levels. I find SMW a little easier to go back to but SMB3 a bit more tightly constructed if that makes any sense.

On a more serious note, I had recently vowed to never talk about Splatoon again because I am a fake fan. I intended to adhere to this, but given that I have already violated it by posting the funny kill I figure that I may as well post one more thing about Splatoon.

The inciting incident for my censure as a fake Splatoon fan was my claim that none of the Splatoon 2 specials, including Inkjet, are fun to use. My choice to maintain this assertion about the Inkjet directly led to my condemnation. However, having played Splatoon immediately after this incident, I discovered via the Fresh Squiffer that the Inkjet is in fact fun to use.

As such, please consider this my formal retraction of my baseless claim that Inkjet is not fun.

I will continue to refrain from discussing Splatoon to avoid further incidents caused by my ignorance, unless I get another really, really funny kill.

It does genuinely make me feel bad about posting here from time to time, but there is nothing I can do about it. I will never be a real Splatoon fan, real Pikmin fan, or real gamer, and I've come to accept that. It limits the discussions I am capable of participating in, and I do try to be mindful of this so as not to disrupt conversations with ignorance. However, at this time I do not see it as a reason to leave the site entirely.
 
I will say that I'm surprised by how many people are offended, jokingly or not, by my being a fake fan of these things. Was your support of the thread predicated on me being a true gamer?

I believe we have already established they will be called Metroid Prime 4K and Pikmin 4K since they are only coming out for the Switch's successor.

Metroid Prime 4 and Pikmin 4 are lies. Don't believe in what Nintendo tells you.

My personal beef with splatoon comes at a fact that I bought the second game when I got my switch and learned I couldn’t even play it’s online. I bought it digitally and couldn’t get a refund. Felt big FOMO when I couldn’t enjoy the splat fest and felt wasted on the money for it

I don’t buy Nintendo games for their online anymore. I could careless about that Kirby online game. I won’t be able to play it, I’ll only be able to play other companies games

I can’t even play Tetris 99 anymore. I used to, but I can’t anymore.

I guess I misinterpreted your previous posts as being tongue-in-cheek or sarcastical. Why should anyone be bothered because you don't play certain games or don't think of yourself as a gamer? so sorry if I made you feel not welcome.

Still wild to think Pikmin fans have been waiting longer than GTA fans for a new mainline entry in their respective franchise, and only one has confirmation that it's in active development.

I thought it was at first, but it's come up consistently and with enough vigor to give me pause.

Again, I am not interested in proving myself. I'll abstain from specific games' conversations as I am turned away from them, but I don't see it as reason to leave altogether.

What's the difference between a fake fan and true fan anyway?
 
If anyone is seriously giving people crap for not being fans of certain games and/or not knowing everything about a franchise, then they need to get their priorities straight.

Hell, I think the Inkjet controls like complete ass. If that delegitimizes me as a Splatoon fan, then I don’t know what to say.

I’ve been told I’m not a true Star Wars fan for liking the prequels for years and I’m loling at the people suddenly saying they were great due to Ewan McGregor coming back
