I agree, things are really good right now and should continue to be so for a while. Once we get past the September General Direct, announcements and big new stuff is likely to die way down, but then we also have all the massive fall games coming in not long after, and we'll get fed quite well with all of that up through the holidays.

There's a lot going on with this year's September Direct, too: Will it be the big BOTW2 blowout? There's lots of rumored games that kind of need to start showing up like FE and MP since Nintendo is rapidly running out of announced games, too. And there's still the lingering question of new hardware, and if there even will be a September Direct if that's involved somehow. So many fun and interesting questions that will all likely be answered one way or another in just 5 weeks or so.

Also it's funny, but I always thought Mario World was one of the easier ones. Guess it's harder than the NSMB games but it's easier than the NES games!

Random, but the second Super Mario Bros. game on NES, I really liked Luigi for some reason, and I would only pick him. Made the game hard as hell, and it was only later on I beat it, haha! :ROFLMAO:

Those are the big things. Doesn’t seem likely that we get anything else, although Advance Wars is always possible as a wildcard.

Real insiders tend not to have a constant stream of information. They share what they can and then peace out for a bit

In fact, someone Tweeting new leaks or hints every few days is a pretty good sign they're (at least partially) full of shit

To be completely honest that release date was pretty obvious, witch game releasing very close to Halloween. Bayo 3 playlist was also updated day or two before that. I am not saying that it was lucky guess but his Splatoon 3 stuff is saying a lot to me. But I don't care at all.

I’ve made it much further in Mario 1 and 3 than I have in World, but it’s probably just because I’ve played the former games so much more.

Yeah Luigi is definitely the hardest character to control in that game, but he’s best boi so I can’t not pick him.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like predicting Bayonetta 3 just a week after Mario + Rabbids is a pretty risky bet. Nintendo typically likes to space their releases out. I would’ve guessed early October/November/December over late October myself.

Maybe I'm misremembering, but isn't Luigi known, even to this day, for poor traction in Mario platformers?

Didn't they say something like "I heard Splatoon 3 was June months ago, it may have been delayed"? I'm not going to call that a definitive miss but it seems like a stretch to give them credit for that

I would say its not credit worthy but i would take it into consideration when thinking theyre valid when it comes to leaks they also are not just spouting random info all the time most of their tweets have nothing to do with leaks. I like to think it is a real leaker who go tired of Samus Hunters bogus leaks and decided to actually do it right lol

I prefer World myself, but it’s still crazy how advanced Bros. 3 is in comparison to the rest of the NES library. Most NES games are basically just tech demos, but Bros. 3 is a legitimately comprehensive game. Only other NES game I’ve played that matches it is Kirby’s Adventure, which came out 4 years later.

Can confirm, was playing it in '89.

It was one of my earliest experiences of music and visual design combining into an aesthetic that gave an emotional reaction. Mario 3 is literally a formative memory for me.
 
I need them to announce a direct for this week. I literally need something to pick me up.

I dunno why I never got around to Pikmin 1 and 2. Really enjoyed my time with 3 Deluxe. Would love for 4 to be a 2023 game.
 
I really hope Pikmin 4 isn't open world or anything.
Just give me clever designed areas full of exploration, puzzles, combat and shortcuts.
I love the content density the franchise brings to the table.

A map basted structure also works best for a strategy game IMO.

I don't see what's so "hot" about this, when it's true.

If anything, the spicier thing to say would be that for all that World offers larger stages, the way the Cape (and Yoshi, to a lesser extent) trivializes a lot of the level design are things that keep it from being the tighter experience that 3 is. And I've happily 100%'d that sucker on SNES and the GBA.
