Shame Meat Loaf was anti-vaxx, as it was his downfall in the end. Lots of good memories with his music.

Remember how they were actually able to bring back the old NES Zapper games like Duck Hunt and Wild Gunman on the Wii U VC, using IR pointer controls with the Wiimote?

Shame it's been lost all over again.
I miss IR pointing, but I prefer the hybrid form to it

maybe someday we'll have both

I can't be upset about Star Fox Adventures, since I was always in favor of the switch of IPs/branding; --So now, at very least, Nintendo is in control over the game and characters created for it. 'v'

Rare's legacy wasn't very well treated in Microsoft's hands; not at least until we eventually got Rare Replay.

Total opposite for me and the more I see of Dinosaur Planet the more I loathe Adventures 🙃

I hear alot of people calling Arceus gameloop repetitive. But how much does it differ from the other mainline games? In the other games you also go from wild pokemon battle to trainer battle to wild pokemon battle and so on. So how are those games not repetitive but Arceus is?

Holy shit, how did I miss this game!?

Looks... surprisingly good and I try to avoid pixel art games.

That looks super pretty, my god.
* googles *
Kynseed is a sandbox life sim RPG brought to you by developers who worked on the Fable series for Lionhead Studios. Live your life in a quirky world where everyone ages and dies, including your pets!

...fuck video games

I always found that Dinosaur Planet concept art so beautiful. I'd love it if a game was re-visited in that exact style.

Do you think that BotW2 was announced "too early"? I've seen some mentions of this, that the game shouldn't be showed back in 2019 if it meant being silent for 2 years.

I don't know. I think on the contrary that these past few years has really seen the game drum up a ton of hype. The 2 trailers are almost at 10m+ views each, and feels like excitement are at a level that I don't think it would be if it wasn't showed in 2019.
I assume they announced it so early so they could recruit staff, considering that’s also what they did for Splatoon 3.

I really oughta be working on my chibi-robo ripoff with all this free time I've had but I am just so painfully untalented

Warning: Don't watch it if you don't want to get more upset about Star Fox Adventures!

That was a great watch!

I also wish that we could have gotten Dinosaur Planet on the N64, but I am happy that it was able to release in some form. Now I wish we could get a Star Fox Adventures 2, but that will never happen, and I don't think that a lot of people would want that either sadly.

Nintendo better get NLG working on a new Starfox Adventures. It will finally bring back the classic 3D Zelda experience fans want.

Likewise, I often find myself wondering what EAD's own "StarFox Adventures" game could've been, before the "Frankenstein-ing" commenced that likely was a solution to both games having dev troubles.

Losing two games for one that still had stymied potential will always be something that made me sad.

As long as there's more mecha and space-faring action to be had? I'd be game.

Narrative reasons/excuse plot aside, Fox's use of his team's tech in SFA boiling down to a holographic camo and occasional Arwing joyride always made me laugh.

@Skittzo this is for the free-for-all raffle 😄

The Switch Dock cover is from an Etsy shop and the Wii U GamePad cover is an official one. They are both actively working to make a new Pikmin game and a Kotabe/Nakue-esque 2D Mario a reality on Switch.

A mix between Assault and Adventures with more classic Starfox levels would be so cool.

I’m gonna rush through Banjo as fast as possible because I’m desperate to start Arceus

One of the synth instruments in the ship theme of CrossCode really specifically reminds me of DKC3, one reminds me of Chrono Trigger, and another reminds me of Xenogears. Hearing them all together is doing weird things to my nostalgia.

The composer of CrossCode has stated he was heavily inspired by a lot of other VG music, IIRC. You can really hear it in some of the tracks. There's a lot of Chrono Cross/Trigger in there for sure.
