Then when I first read it, I must've misinterpreted it because it made it seem like their entire physical media was going away, video games included.
But then, the Verge wasn't exactly consistent in their reporting:

Their title suggests only movies, but then the article talks about the physical media in general, but later said keeping their video game section at least for now, so only movies. And then I forgot they already got rid of their physical music back in 2018, which seems a lot further back than 5 years ago.
I still maintain that video games are approaching all digital, and we're all just going to have to live with it.
