Never dropped in my thoughts on the last bout of Pyoro leaks here actually. I'm PUMPED for Another Code. It was my initial guess for the DS / Wii hint last night and i'm so happy to be right; most shocking and exciting revival for me since Famicom Detective Club (also an adventure game; I guess my expectations there just aren't high) and Pokemon Snap.

It would be a mild disaster if Prime 4 released after the Switch 2 unless the game is just massively optimized for Switch 2.

The game was announced... Three months after the release of the Switch...

Missing the entire Switch life cycle after being announced right after the Switch was released would be rough.

But it of course needs to release when it's done and polished instead of before date X.

do cross-gen like Nintendo did twice with Legend of zelda(release Metroid Prime 4 on both Switch and it sucessor at the same date)

Wait some people are taking it as the actual number when we say F-Zero 99? We just mean NSO, not that number of players. If it’s X or GX based it would be 30 players since that’s the number of racers those games are designed around

I mean, TETRIS 99, PAC-MAN 99. That's the number we're basing it on because it's the "series'" branding.
 
Omg I figure out Pyoros tweet about DK. It IS a new DK game. And it's releasing the same day as Super Mario Wonder. It's the fight scene from the movie cuz they're fighting over sales. Nintendo has done it again

She's just crying hysterically here (and obviously for no reason as it's just a gameplay mechanic you can activate at any time) and that feels very sexist and something games staring men wouldn't do.

This is my first DS game that I love this game so much. I have a physical copy with 100% complete save.

Super Mario 35. Sure it was limited but it’s a preceding example. It’ll be whatever number fits the game play balance(30 for X/GX, 20 if it’s Snes based)

I'd take that deal. More time for Retro to cook. And the likelier it would be that Prime 4 could really take advantage of the new hardware that surely would be out by then.

Super Mario 35 was due to the 35th anniversary though. I don't think a name like "F-ZERO 20 or 30" works purely for the player count, that's tiptoe-ing in the area of "wait, is this the xth game in the franchise?" Not totally but.. it's getting there.

fun fact, in snes era art the blue falcon bears the number 111, while in later years this was switched to 7

111 is 7 in binary
