What's the 3rd party game? Mario vs DK, Another Code remakes, F-Zero 99, and Peach Showtime are all 1st party.

Pyoro liked a tweet of someone posting another code/r. I see no reason to doubt Pyoro at this point until they stop being 100% accurate.

That's not gonna happen...it cannot happen. The process says that Metroid Prime 4 will be revealed, and that we will be celebrating long afterwards!
 
Another Code IS a hype release for me. I've never played it but it's a fantastic VN / adventure series from everything I've heard.
 
On paper, I'm interested in several of the Super Mario titles. I'm sold on Wonder, and probably won't need much to sell me on RPG given I've never played it.

Luigi's Mansion 2 I'd like for the sake of long term software library completeness, but it really wouldn't be a priority unless I was completely stuck for options. I felt like 3 was an improvement in every conceivable way and so don't feel much need to get this immediately.

Princess Peach is difficult to judge for obvious reasons, but I'm definitely interested in seeing more of this. It's good to see Nintendo give Peach a starring role and I assume the game has some hook or twist Nintendo feel is suited to Peach. If it does turn out to be Intelligent Systems, then that's some good development pedigree behind the game.

Likewise, a return for Mario vs DK is difficult to judge until it's actually confirmed as a real thing. As a huge fan of DK 94, I'd love to see more of a follow up to that. I'd especially like it if they switched things around and made DK playable, especially given starring roles for him have been few and far between. It's the kind of game that could be a pleasant surprise and reinvigorate the spin-off series.

TBH, the whole Leaks lately from Pyoros, just stole the whole enjoyment of a Direct, for me I like to go blind and just get surprise.
Just tell us there is a Direct and stay silenece and let us enjoy the ride.

I'm confident Metroid Prime 4 is the closer. Pyoro knows how important this game is for folks. He left with a cliffhanger on "what the closer will be" because I think he knows it's MP4 and he wants to leak it tomorrow. He wants a build up to it. He didn't do this with the June Direct. He just told us about Mario Wonder.
 
F-ZERO 99 is vastly better than GX HD because it's a new experience

don't tell Nintendo or the mod team but you can play GX in HD right now if you know where to look

The problem with this statement is that Nintendo is already due for a ton of games that must either be finished or close to being finished

Don’t forget we are almost 10 years since a new DK game, almost 7 years since a full new 3D Mario which is the longest gap yet, 4 years since the new Metroid Prime restarted production, etc etc
 
F ZERO 99 I will legitimately celebrate. I thought they'd be boring and wheel out something like Dr Mario.
 
Do you think that when they had a meeting as board of directors Takahashi said that F-Zero 99 is a shit game and why they did not made Wave Race 99?

I would unironically love an appropriate-for-Nintendo DOA. I always loved the mechanics of that series (2 and 3 specifically) and am bitter about how the stuff the series is known for holds it back and categorizes it. IIRC the team actually tried to tone it down with, I think it was DOA5, but after trailers came out the worst kinds of fans got super loud online, demanding Team Ninja bring back the exaggerated stuff and TN obliged and.. here we remain. 😩

Oh and while they're at it they can go back to the old hold-counter system plz ffs

I don't see why you'd be skeptical of his leaks - he's never been wrong. What you should be skeptical of is people saying there won't be any big news. The direct is still 4 or 5 days away, Pyoro didn't leak everything at once nor did he leak all announcements. Just wait, stuff will show up. It won't be Donkey Kong Country 6, F-Zero GX with online AND Metroid Prime 2 Remastered + Metroid Prime 4 all in 1 Direct, but there's bound to be a few cool things we don't know of yet.
 
I’m honestly down for pretty well anything! I feel like I’ve gotten basically everything I could’ve wanted and then some with the Switch already, anything forthcoming is just gravy.

I would say “Nice!” for Rhythm Heaven. I would Ric Flair “WOOOO!” if a Golden Sun remake or sequel was announced. I would ascend through the ceiling if Tomodachi Life comes back

I can't say I'm confident at all, but I sure hope you're right. Despite recently getting back on track, Metroid has still skipped many Directs, and there's been so much uncertainty around Prime 4 for so long now. I have a hard time imagining other closing titles admittedly, since they seem to save their biggest or close to biggest thing last. I'm definitely expecting an underwhelming opener, as most are for me.
