Based on what Emily said GameCube games will be remastered rather than featured on NSO.

Which is great, no black borders.
I need my money’s worth (I bought the expansion pack)

Man I can't even nap, what he heck. Y'all need to entertain me, guess a new IP Nintendo will be debuting at the Direct.

Here's mine:

Aces Wild. A 3D exploration game where every character is a playing card living in the wilderness.
The Cat Burglar. Nintendo's entry in the stealth genre, in which you play as a gentleman thief stealing valuable artifacts all over the world with the help of a variety of wacky but surprisingly effective gadgets. Before each heist the main character would send a challenge letter to the local authorities, and the player choosing the terms of said letter would be the main way of setting each mission's difficulty: "Tonight, I shall steal the Priceless MacGuffin, and I will do so..."

a) Without being seen.

b) Deactivating every single trap.

c) Knocking all the guards unconscious.

etc.

I can't believe we are less then a week away from a proper BotW 2 reveal....right?

RIGHT?!?!?!
Probably yes. If Nintendo continues with the plan to release the game in Spring 2023, there’s a possibility to be showed. However, we don’t know how much. A proper trailer most likely, as I doubt a third teaser would do wonders.

The Legend of Zelda: The Mummy Returns Starring Dwayne the Rock Johnson

Link replaces the Master Sword with an upgradeable chair. You beat enemies by throwing the chair at them and it returns to you like Thor’s Hammer. Added benefit of sitting down and resting to recover health any time, any where.

A pirates 🏴‍☠️ game made by the Zelda team, focused on exploring several big islands, sea battles, big bosses and solving puzzles in caves to steal treasure.
I'd be down for this if the islands were named Netflix, Paramount, HBO, etc...

Where’s that person who posted fake Switch Pro YouTube reveal screenshots and bet all his limbs it was happening. Hopefully he’s been working on something new to help us get this thread over the hump!

I do think they skipped the E3 time direct bc they wanted to have BOTW2 to show in whatever direct they had after its delay to Spring 2023 - so i think we see a bit, a title and a confirm of Spring 2023 but not a solid date

I could see a March release month, but no firm date until January.

At this point even with a slight delay (to say, summer 2023) Zelda would be launching within the next 12 months. That's time enough to begin the major marketing for the game - even more so if it's still spring 2023, which is effectively March through June.

Personally with the talk of the ports finally being announced, I think the new game is likely late in the spring window - June - at the earliest. That's a minimum 9 month window to sell your ports and steadily drum up marketing for the new entry.

Dragon Quest Treasures December 9th
Dragon Quest III February 10th
Dragon Quest Zenithia Trilogy announcement? Please?

If the Zelda ports come out in October or November, then I can still see Spring being easily viable for BOTW 2. I don't think the ports will be evergreen titles that will topping the charts for months to come. They will probably sell well for two months and then disappear from the charts entirely. The amount of sales, potentially lost due due to the ports releasing within 5 months of the new game is probably negligible.

Yeah, I still think it can make spring, but I'd expect it to be late in Nintendo's spring window - like ARMS back in 2017. At this point I don't think new Zelda makes this fiscal year; it wouldn't surprise me to see Fire Emblem or another unnanounced game close out the fiscal year in March.

The ports are an odd one to guess at, commercially; their selling potential was kneecapped on Wii U, especially for Twilight Princess. Obviously, Nintendo don't need them to be mega-hits that sell for months, but you've got Link's Awakening doing 6 million in ~2 years, and the ports are easy money for Nintendo. TP did over 8 million back on Wii/GC, so I wonder what Nintendo want or expect from these games.

- edited. Woops, I put 'Wii U' instead of Switch.

I wanted to take part in the "I'm a ..." posts but noticed that both parts of my username sound lewd with an "er" added to them, so i just pass on it.

I wish the overly long prologue of Twilight Princess could be shortened. The horse & goat minigame is quite useless (you don’t use Epona for the next 5 to 7 hours, what was the point ?), having to fish twice without any indication that you shoud do it twice… urgh

One is a country invading it's neighbour and killing it's citizens (and worse), the other is a 96 year old woman dying.

Her death won't delay anything.

Also, as a german i'm indifferent at best, annoyed at most by the british royal family, but holy fuck could we tone down the bad jokes about someones death? I like to pretend that there's at least some behaviour left in people.

The folks you're free to make fun of in case of death are people like Putin.

Ok dad...

"Paper Mario" isn't actually made out of paper. It's all bits--ones and zeroes.

Don't fall for Nintendo's tactics.

I say we joke about the death all colonialists/war criminals and old Betty qualifies. 🤷‍♂️
