Nintendo knows that some legacy titles are highly requested. Sakurai is aware that people want Kid Icarus Uprising on Switch. Nintendo is aware that there is a loud group of fans for games like F-Zero GX and the older Paper Mario games. I'm not saying those games are getting remasters, but Nintendo has seen how loud and vocal those fans are on social media.

So, the company is trying to figure out which games are worth remastering / remaking. That's why it's so important for fans to get loud on social media. Because Nintendo is paying attention to fan requests. NOA/NOE sends feedback up the chain of command to NCL.

I remember when I said Nintendo should pay attention to F-Zero trending on twitter and some people told me it was irrelevant

this is splatoon 3 week , thus NCL won't have a direct during 1st party game release week
Direct could be later this month or first week in Oct as there's nintendo live event in Japan during Oct 9th to 10th
We've been over this.
Direct is next week.

Guess when Asano is done with SQEX he definitely knows who "paid" his salary. ^^

I love TMS, but that game got two chances and seems to have flopped both times. If we get another chance at a SMT x FE game, I want it to be more like the initial teaser trailer (an actual cross over of the worlds/characters) then Shin Idol Tensei featuring some FE references.
If we ever get another chance at a SMT x FE game, I hope it's titled Devil Survivor 3.

I hope forums count for something when it comes to getting loud, because I'm less than keen on getting back into using Twitter 😂

If anything, I'll be happy to see that their Twitter bio actually comes true when it shows they're listening. I really hope their Gamecube remasters go beyond the titles expected and we get more deep dives that negate the need for Gamecube NSO emulation.
For how small famiboards is, I think this forum has quite some influence to the Nintendo community. Not that we directly reach Nintendo, but I don‘t feel like we are posting in a void.

I've posted my first Star Fox Adventures tweet on Twitter. I genuinely feel bad for the good people behind the social media accounts but it's a necessary evil I have to commit.

In all seriousness, Star Fox Assault has had a louder crowd calling for a remaster/port I think, but wouldn't it make more sense for them to package both those games together in an HD bundle or something? Star Fox Assault is a sequel to Adventures after all.

Imagine being Nintendo and asking for a 2D-HD remaster of Live A Live and NOT Super Mario RPG. Not complaining that we got Live A Live, I'm just complaining incase we never get SMRPG.

I’m not actually sure if the 2D-HD style specifically would work for SMRPG’s pre-rendered graphics, but some sort of HD remake would be swell.
I'd love a version of Super Mario RPG with the toy-like models of Link's Awakening Switch.

It doesn’t matter what kind of presentation they are broadcasting next week.

As long as it features a 2-2:30 minute Zelda BOTW sequel trailer, revealing its real name, it will exceed all expectations.

even if at the very end they will still fade away with...

Zelda Breath of the Wild Sequel - 2023

I think GBC is probably the best comparison from what I can see. In many ways the GBC was a pro/new 3ds of it's day, however the system got a lot more exclusives alongside many games that were compatible with both GB and GBC. It's form and controls were virtually identical to the old gb, but developers has the option of choosing to make games exclusively for the more powerful hardware or ones that work with the old hardware and got a boost on the better one. A blurring of the lines between a whole new hardware generation vs a significant upgrade.
The GBC's hardware was also mostly identical to the original GB, which is absolutely not going to be the case for Drake. If you want to compare it to something, Xbox Series X will probably be the closest thing.

Guys I have to tell you something
The reason why you're not getting new games from your favourite franchises is because you're not wishing for them hard enough.
I on the other hand wished for a new pokemon game for this year and low and behold we got a new one releasing in November.
If you're not getting a new golden sun or f-zero or banjo karaoke it's all your fault.

Still waiting for a remake of this. Cmon THQNordic you cowards!

I was thinking they'd do special edition consoles like when they did the SNES edition new 3DS or NES styled GBA SP.
Something like this:

Jesus some of us are working here. You can’t just put up this NSFW content that gets us all hot and sweaty.

Apparently there's a third-party solution, just learned this today.

Oh shit 👀 Maybe I'll get a pack and see if I can work on replacing my Mario Odyssey joy sticks. My existing blue and red probably need to be sent in because of the rail disconnecting issue I have when playing handheld, but if these work I could also get a set to fix my girlfriend's animal crossing joycons as well

Yeah, that's true. I mean I still feel it's surreal Kit Ellis has also graced us with his presence here 😅 He may be posting as a fan but he's still probably the closest any of us have been to being officially associated with Nintendo

Idk if you know anything about this, but could this be the reason something like Octopath Traveler then later gets ported to Steam and then some time after that Xbox through Gamepass, but never PlayStation? Or is that more likely Square's own doing?

I finally played Star Fox 64 for the first time yesterday and yeah that game is pretty neat.

Still though, will always love Assault. Hope that gets a re-release or reimagining with a sweet Multiplayer set up. Loved playing it with my brother growing up easily one of my fav GC games.

The real reason Cyberpunk 2077 is not updating old gen now is cause they gotta put those resources for a drake port. I mean where else are you gonna play Cyberpunk 2077 at 24 fps with cops appearing out of nowhere

Did they ever fix the "cops appearing out of nowhere" issue? That always struck me more as a fundamental problem with their AI (or honestly, lack thereof), not just a bug

I know they added police chases early in the year. I still think the AI needs some fixes.

I can't call E3 2018 one of the worst because it gave us the "Everyone is Here!" trailer, which was epic. The pacing was really bad though and I was foolish enough to think that there would be one more thing after Smash.

totally real leak from the Fake Direct Generator

Lots of errors but nice try

I have lots and lots of problem to beleive it because, I doubt Nintendo will tell in September that the new hardware is coming for March.

  • Yes they did it in fall 2016, but the sale of the Wii U were so bad they needed to do an electroshock.
  • Look at Microsoft with the Xbox Series X, they announced it a year in advance because they were in the same situation with the Xbox one.

When your console(s) is(are) selling well, you try avoid to break the momentum, especially when Xmas is at the corner.

Points for Journey and Vanquish ports, I'd happily get both if this were true haha

Switch Core as a name, though. I don't...hate it? Certainly has more pizazz than the usual Switch Pro/Switch Ultra/Switch 2/New Nintendo Switch names that get thrown around.

This was literally made with this Fake Direct Leak generator lmao

Aww, of course AI does better thinking than a human would haha

My favourite Directs are probably
E3 2017
Direct Mini Janurary 2018
Direct March 2018
February 2019
Februrary 2022

Every other Direct was either disapointing or boring, because I remember the above ones fondly

@Emily

I am an agreement that people need to be loud but also I hope everyone will stay respectful with them as well.

At the end they are human, father, mother, sister, brother like all of us and their passion, to provide us with cool game, can be quickly dried up if people are coming with violence and not constructive comments.
