Oh gosh I wish Metroid Prime Remastered was a Twitter drop so we could see it like, this week.

September is gonna be a painful wait 😭. I need reassurance fami.

Splatoon 3 Direct this week, Indie World probably the next, and then the September Direct is the following week or the one after that. We are so close!

Other stuff: Kirby sneaks in this month, Advance Wars missed its narrow sneak in window imo so December is the next shot, no Everybody 1-2 Switch this month.

I'd love to see GoldenEye as well, but I'm assuming it's gonna be a non-starter so long as Russia's aggression against Ukraine is maintained.

Wave Race 64 feels like a good summer type of game, I'd be genuinely happy if Super Smash Bros was added earlier than later in the service, though.

Harvest Moon 64 would be neat but I have a feeling there's probably some licensing bullshit going on there between Natsume and Marvelous
 
This week is definitely the week that I finally start advancing the story in XB3 and stop farting around with sidequests

The Russian-Ukraine war will last for years, since neither country is able to push the frontline. It is a mess and will be for a long time.

I mean Infinity Ward will release Modern Warfare 2 on time, so will all the pther publishers and devs.

As sad as it is, theres no reason to delay anything.

Haven’t played it myself yet but heard only good things from people who were waiting for the game. For instance, this French streamer (who usually has very good taste in games) wrote a thread about her experience with the game and she seemed very positive.
An oppressive story with real stakes, interesting characters, Digimons and good tactical gameplay [...] The art direction is insane, it's very beautiful and it looks great on PC and Switch, the gameplay makes you want to explore and farm, the scenario has some scary moments, without falling into pure horror [...] Even if you don't know Digimon, if you like tactical games and visual novels, go for it [...]. ...] There is some Corpse Party in the atmosphere (without going into gore, don't worry), Shin Megami in the recruitments, classic and efficient tactical gameplay with lots of support between Digimons, 117 different units to collect, a story with lots of choices and different endings [...]. ...] The only fault I have with it so far is that it is a bit long at the beginning [...] The game is very accessible: you can choose the difficulty before each fight, cancel a move, train and farm without restrictions [...]

Yeah I'm confident in Nintendo having a Splatoon Direct, Indie World and Nintendo Direct all in the next month +/- a week.

Folks are plenty pessimistic about 3. But I can't help but be hyped about it.

Potential GOTY for sure. At least to me.

Everybody knows that BotW 2 doesn't really exist. It only got announced to get some people hyped for a few years before a new generation console appears and to ride out the current Switch.

Watch them cancelling it quietly without telling anybody.

Now every direct without info on Xenoblade's Expansion Pass is a failure, and disappointment, and Nintendo will officially be doomed. Quit wasting time on Zelda and Metroid Prime you cowards! I need to know what the new story scenario will be about in Xenoblade 3!!!!!!1!!
 
Haven't scrubbed the thread for rumors or leaks, so a few questions if we got updates on:
  1. So Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon SV this year. Any solid rumors for other games this year? Metroid Prime, WW/TP, Everyone Horse Crap, Advance Wars TBD.
  2. Looking at the Nintendo calendar (https://www.nintendo.com/sg/schedule/index.html) any idea why Bayonetta is listed as a 9/30 release? Are they doing a physical release of that one?
  3. New hardware release for spring to coincide with a list of some games for next year?

at this point I would only count on those former three. it's a pretty good holiday with just those and Mario Kart honestly

1. There's still rumours about a metroid prime remake/remastered for the holidays while advance wars and everybody horse are MIA, nothing on ww/tp ports

I'm still hoping for Goldeneye this month due to the anniversary. Sadly the war is going to last, but CoD or the Fortnite war themed season didn't had a problem, so I don't see why they couldn't launch a remaster of a 25 years old game.
 
Waiting for the Splatoon Direct to arrive.
It is on its way to deliver the good stuff
