What? Zelda WW and TP have been rumored forever.
Yup and there has been zero evidence of Switch ports actually existing. Just people claiming it's coming. Year after year.

The Expansion Pass was shown in the March Mini 2020 Sword and Shield was shown in the E3 2019.Pokemon usually isn't featured in Nintendo Directs. It's normally its own separate thing (outside of a mention here or there).
also Sword and Shield was in the September 2019 direct. The Expansion Pass was shown in the March Mini 2020 Sword and Shield was shown in the E3 2019.
A game about a witch releasing right before Halloween? Too easy.
I've theorized for a while that Nintendo's waiting for new hardware so they're more palatable as separate releases due to being at 4K and potentially 60 fps. Straight Wii U ports of remastered GameCube games that originally sold for $50 both times is a bigger stretch than any "Switch tax" Nintendo has imposed before.Yup and there has been zero evidence of Switch ports actually existing. Just people claiming it's coming. Year after year.
Well, Metroid Prime remastered or Switch Pro too, and we still believe that those things are real.Yup and there has been zero evidence of Switch ports actually existing. Just people claiming it's coming. Year after year.

Those weren't major trailers IIRC. They were mostly repeats of prior trailers.also Sword and Shield was in the September 2019 direct.
Metroid Prime is claimed by Jeff Grubb as coming this holiday. The Zelda HD collection never existed and was basically pushed heavily by fans in the rumor mill in an attempt to get Nintendo to, "Make it happen".
I'm just giving you an identifiable claim that can be used against their credibility once the release date is announced.A game about a witch releasing right before Halloween? Too easy.
This could be already used agains their credibility:I'm just giving you an identifiable claim that can be used against their credibility once the release date is announced.
He said day before the Direct that Splatoon 3 is scheduled for June. It could be, but then day after that, Direct happened and Strikers was dated as June release. So Splatoon would never ever be released in June. And as we know it was 98% planned as a July release with Xeno3 as a September, they just switched spots, this is obvious and no one could say otherwise.

"We're halfway through the year, but there's plenty more in store" YEAH RIGHT!
For Nintendo to do so partners have to give a reason to do it like Capcom did with MH:Rise , only October would fit the bill and more because of M+R than the late ports or HarvestellaI have a feeling that Nintendo will leave the month open for partners.
But that's just me.

I think Persona is another. Nintendo have been bargaining for a while with Atlus to finally convince them and then to drop a First party game on the same month. For Nintendo to do so partners have to give a reason to do it like Capcom did with MH:Rise , only October would fit the bill and more because of M+R than the late ports or Harvestella
Problem is they'll just say plans changed. Only way to prove they're fake is if they admit it or their dms get leaked somehow and they admit it there.I'm just giving you an identifiable claim that can be used against their credibility once the release date is announced.
I don't think anyone's expecting a Direct, specifically (or at least, not with any degree of certainty) but refer to the threadmarks on why people think something is happeningWhat is the reason people are expecting a direct this week?

Am I reading you right that the samurai outfit originated in Super Mario Run??oh god, you are right. He is really not that good. BUT, remember this? At Jimmy Fallon show in December 2016, Reggie was showcasing Super Mario Run and they were also playing BOTW on Switch. But most importantly Miyamoto was wearing this t-shirt. It was later confirmed to be samurai costume for Mario in Odyssey. Miyamoto is very good insider, kinda like Nate even with these hints.
it was actually just a promotion to SMR, but this costume was also in the game
I'm not a Pokémon fanAt the very least, we're getting Pokémon info this week.
2018, so before MP4 was rebooted and the whole plan changed?I once looked into the origins of the original ‘Metroid Prime trilogy’ rumours way back when.
In early 2018 Emily Rogers tweeted that she predicted we’d get it prior to Metroid Prime 4 some point that year. Key word there being ‘predicted’.
Then later that year a Swedish retailer listed it on their website for a few days and everyone went mental. When asked about it at a later date they admitted it was pure speculation.
That’s literally it. Those two non-events and everyone willed it into existence.
Now everyone believes Jeff Grubb because they previously convinced themselves about the trilogy, Therese just a remaster of 1 is a step down from that so it must exist.
I should reiterate I would LOVE to be wrong, but at face value it seems unlikely to me that any of these ever existed.
Now the fake leaker is doing it too!
7-eleven in the leaker scene lol?
Pokemon trailer this week and a Pokemon presents next month could make sense, in fact is what I think will happen. Either that or the Pokemon Switch LE (OLED or Lite) will be announced August 3rd/4thThe one thing that makes me doubt a Pokémon trailer this week is that the pre-orders in Japan are supposed to start on Thursday, August 4th.
Last year pre-orders for BDSP started on Thursday, August 19th and it just so happened that there was a Pokémon Presents one day earlier - so I'm expecting a new one on the Aug 3rd, which would make a trailer this week redundant.
Then again, those leaks look pretty legit and we have a couple of insiders saying we are getting a trailer so... idk.
Well IIRC it's typical to get a new trailer once a month during new gen pokemon years, and the last trailer was early June. So one both this week and early August wouldn't be too surprising actually. The one thing that makes me doubt a Pokémon trailer this week is that the pre-orders in Japan are supposed to start on Thursday, August 4th.

I suspect we'll also get one about online capabilities too. They seem to be pushing that so far.Pokemon-wise, we'll probably get a new trailer focusing on the name of the region and some region-specific stuff like gyms, and then another trailer focusing on the evil team. Those are two of the biggest things not yet talked about.
7-eleven in the leaker scene lol?
Seems likely. Plus maybe another featuring whatever the new 'gimmick' is (assuming there is one) ala gigantimaxing. And all of them will have new pokemon sprinkled in. That's probably enough info to make 4-ish new trailers once a month until release.I suspect we'll also get one about online capabilities too. They seem to be pushing that so far.
There's quite a bit more to it than that:I once looked into the origins of the original ‘Metroid Prime trilogy’ rumours way back when.

I found this on Twitter, it's probably fake. But who knows.
Who knows just found it.literally who though?
