The name of this new model wont be Pro thats for sure. I don't think they would want to alienate potential casual audiences.
Some people mentioned Plus. I think thats more realistic.

They could also release things like Switch Lite Plus.

They could follow the OLED style with Names like Nintendo Switch 4k.

But at the end of the day all that matters is that I get my hands on it before BotW 2 drops.

New Nintendo Switch Lite sounds a lot better than Nintendo Switch Plus Lite

Let's be positive. They are saving the single-player Splatoon 3 footage for the last reveal because they know it is going to blow our collective minds and make us super hyped for the game's release.

Personally I would love them to bring back the “Super” prefix. I feel like it’s been long enough, and parents (who would have been around in the NES/SNES days) would instantly get it.

Later that year...

"Here is an update on the sequel to Nintendo Switch. Development is progressing smoothly, and we're excited to be able to show you more later. However, we have made the decision to delay it until 2024 to add even more ice cubes to the Joy-Cons. Please understand."
 
If Splatoon 3 grounds it's single player as well as it does with it's multiplayer maps I'll probably give it a go again. Seems like Octo did a step in that direction. Would also be great if they give the shooting some more oomph.

It would be something no one is expecting and it will actually be a great name, like "Switch" is. Never ever underestimate NCL employees, these people made Labo, they have different mind set.

yeah I really think that the multiplayer will be excellent. They really took their time with it. And the Octo expansion is probably the best dlc Nintendo ever released. I wonder what the progression will look like. More of a level select thing like in the Ocot dlc or traversal 3D hubs like in 1&2.... maybe it will be one big connected hub. Who knows.

Yeah. But would it be the Super Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Super Switch or just Super Switch?

Really don't know which one I would like the most. Probably a clean and simple Nintendo Super Switch

My top choice is Switch Advance. I just can't gel with a lot of the other suggestions that have been put out there.

Also, I'm not super convinced there's gonna be anything next week, I don't see why an announcement of some sort would even mean they have to postpone the splatoon tournament by a week anyway. And if something was happening I feel we'd have heard a bit more than what we have atm.
