How do I block certain YouTube channels from being recommended or popping up during searches? Getting annoyed with these thumbnails lol
Haha, like these?

Wish there was a "face blocker" and just get rid of all of those, haha!

I use blocktube on my pc Let's you block individual channels or specific videos from showing.
Actually will have to check this out, thanks!

On my app (I use Xbox and Switch both for YouTube) you can highlight a video's thumbnail, press and hold the button you'd normally select with (which I think is "A" in both consoles) and options will come up. One of them will be "Not Interested," and if you click that then more options will come up including "I don't like this video" and "Don't recommend this channel."

My post count has increased recently, but I'll never be able to do it as much as the most dedicated users here. Mad respect to y'all.

I mean, I could post more if I played games less often, but I'm not ready to make that jump.

Is it cool to hate on people wanting a Switch Pro now? I'm so confused as to where the tone is now regarding Nintendo.

Pro model or successor, all I know is come March 2023, if there is not a more powerful Switch on the market, we will have officially crossed the point where we are in the longest Nintendo "console" generation ever without a refresh (Wii to Wii U was 6 years). In regards to "handhelds", Nintendo DS was 6.5 years on the market (fall 2004 to spring 2011)...

I hope Popeye and VROOM In The Night Sky will get 4K patches for Drake.

(still can’t believe both of these games exist).

Seeing as a summer direct is looking less and less likely, the software lineup is becoming more and more suspicious!
I really think a successor is coming next year, whether or not that's a "new console" or the sort of hybrid successor people here expect.
Otherwise I don't see why they wouldn't be showing more of their upcoming games. Surely they want people to be excited about the switch to, you know, buy switches? All we know about after XB and Splatoon is Zelda and they're not even showing footage, so that might even be delayed again.

I'm confused why people are thinking it's less likely we're seeing something next week. We still have that mysterious gap in the Splatoon 2 tournaments. A direct or mini next week would make plenty of sense.
Seriously. There is absolutely SOMETHING next week. New hardware? Maybe, maybe not. But there’s something.

Well personally I was only expecting something because the video went down but the air in that one really deflated.
But I certainly hope there's a direct because all I care about is the software and I'm somewhat concerned right now, especially if Zelda ends up delayed again.

At the very least, I think we get some sort of Twitter drop next week.

One thing I wonder about Drake is, couldn't it be both a continuation of the switch generation and a new console?
Because people seem to frame it as either, it's gonna be a pro (share all first party games with the previous console) or it's going to be a clean break (mostly) that ends the switch generation.

What if instead, it is clearly a new console, even from Nintendo's marketing but Nintendo also promises to support the switch for 2+ more years by back porting some of the drake's games, kind of like Sony is doing with the PS5. Like Paper Mario, Mario Party and 2D Zelda are cross gen, but Mario Kart 9 and Mario Universe are not? This would both line up with Nintendo's statements of the switch lasting 8+ years and still allow them to actually run a new generation and start releasing new next gen iterations of their big games like Mario, Mario Kart, Smash, Animal Crossing, maybe even Metroid prime 4.

Because the problems I have with full cross gen support are
1)There needs to be a reason beyond graphical capability to purchase the new console or non-enthusiasts wont bother
2)It would prevent them from meaningfully expanding the scope and visuals of their key franchises which would fail to drive the level of hype you expect from these games.

the thread went from 0 to 100 to 0 in less than a week
I‘m sure it will be back to 100 again this weekend when we are speculating what Nintendo will do next week in their "we spread our summer direct over a month because we felt like it" approach.

Maybe they'll bring back the Micro Direct. Just Mario Kart Tracks, Bayonetta 3, Splatoon 3, and Metroid Prime Remakester. No reason given at all.

They just want to revive every previously considered dead showcase type. Reviving Partner Directs was just the start!

Part of me was kinda hoping that was what happened today, once we started talking about the SplatOLED y’know? Would be pretty weird of them to do a presentation next week and not just have the console reveal there

It is still likely that we could see a few things in july-august: Bayonetta 3 Trailer, Pokemon Trailer (?), MK Booster Pass Update, Splatoon Direct (like in the second week of august) and maybe something about Metroid Prime Remaster and the rumored Fire Emblem game if they don‘t safe it for a direct in September.

Maybe Bayonetta 3? Considering HK Nintendo updated Bayonetta 3 playlist today/yesterday.
I don't think Bayo 3 would lead to Splatoon tournaments skipping a week

What makes the most sense to me is a Splatoon 3 Testfire that weekend, which is obviously not something you want to conflict with a tournament. But that could be announced in a tweet or something

Did this just get swept under the rug by the time I woke up bc of SpOLED?

Holy shit

It’s really really REALLY weird that they would seperate the announcement of a Splatoon 3 testfire and the SplatOLED, also, Nintendo has never announced a weekend beta test the week it occurs so maybe we aren’t done with Nintendo news this week idk just saying

I'd take a Bayonetta 3 trailer. A one-two punch of Nier Automata and Bayonetta 3 on the Switch in the fall would be pretty exciting.

How bad have the past two days been?
No, I was trying to not bring it up fully, but It’s right wing stuff popping up after checking stuff about the shooting.

It’s really disgusting stuff and I don’t understand why it’s recommended to me since I never looked these channels up or anything released to them.
