Not alone, I’ve pretty much embraced the stinky horse and have a few avatars for it. Though I am using my old avatar for team February

as of third party announcements i more or less expect for february direct

1) persona 4 golden as a bonus by preordering persona 4 arena
2) goldeneye
3) house of dead or panzer dragoon 2 remake date
4) square-enix ps1 remaster (saga frontier 2, chrono cross, ff tactics, tactics ogre)
5) klonea encore (finally?) or other thing related to bandai-namco
6) a cloud game announcement.
7) capcom, at least more sunbreak info
8) final triangle strategy demo
 
I would love it if it happened this coming week. That would mean the second February is possible for Directs going into the future. Either way, team February wins!

lol, I just wanted to post my predictions in a fun way. When I actually hear something (practically never, don't count on it) I suck at not making that obvious.

Ah yeah I know they've been rumored, I meant specifically appearing in Feb direct. We can hope!!
 
Great write-up @Mpl90 and you get brownie points for mentioning Klonoa. I'm really hoping those trademarks and titles means something for the series.

1. Tanabe took over the franchise and insists that every PM game needs to have different mechanics.
2. As mentioned before, Nintendo is far more stricter about Mario's brand image than they were back in the N64/GCN era. This is why we'll never again get unique Goomba/Toad/Koopa/etc variations like Bombette, Admiral Bobbery, Koops, etc

The latter point is pretty obviously a universal thing for all Mario spinoffs now, you can see this in Mario Party Superstars, where the toads that had actual unique characteristics in the original N64 game were scrubbed out in favour of the usual mainline designs. So even if Tanabe backed off from PM or alternatively changed his mind about it not being an RPG anymore, it still wouldn't feel the same.

The game would at least be fun and addictive to play.

  • he said he’s going back to Nintendo for his next few podcasts
  • he said he recorded an episode for early next week (didn’t say monday mind you)
  • he replied to a comment on his poll on Youtube that he would have a predictions video when the Direct is announced (which would probably be recorded in advance due to to short timeframe between Direct announcement and air time)

Of course, there is also the possibility that the podcast early next week has nothing to do with the Direct, in which case it probably isn’t next week. So that’s it, I’ve gone mad like the rest of you.

It was to me that Nate replied on YouTube, he replies a lot both on YouTube and Twitter. But anyways… he said he would have a predictions episode when Nintendo announces the direct, and if there’s a new episode early next week, I would bet on the direct next week
