That wouldn't surprise me. Direct announced Tuesday morning and his podcast updates an hour or two later.

I swear, I think that he did this before, but I'm not sure if I'm just making that up lol.

I actually can't see any this year outside of third parties. We still need announcements for H2.

Last year also had Triangle Strategy.
I think this year it might be Super Mario Odyssey 2. It's the biggest game I can see being announced a year ahead. Mario Kart Next would probably be saved to announcement closer to release.

Now on the other candidate, if they want to announce Metroid Prime Remaster already, it'll probably come with a Prime 4 teaser.

it sounds like a pattern/rule if you say it like that, but I think Splatoon was the only announcement of this kind. February Direct is usually where they roll out the release schedule for the rest of the year, mostly through summer. Splatoon got announced this early because the team was hiring a lot people iirc

So it looks like the tweet from Andy Robinson was definitely a hint towards Goldeneye with a picture of someone with a Goldeneye UI on their watch.

That's never a guarantee. February 2019 Direct didn't reveal any 2020 first-party title unless i'm forgetting something. Hard to imagine them needing to reveal any 2023 title when this year will already be so packed.

There's just been nothing new on it beyond those initial rumors from 2020; no real indication of when it'll release beyond what we can just extrapolate (surely it'll be out before the DK Land opens at Universal Japan in 2024, especially if the understood production timeline of the game is accurate).

You are correct. Five games were announced by Nintendo in the Feb 2019 direct, but none released in 2020.

I can see xeno 3 being announced soon with E3 being the bigger trailer/release date. I predict that the MP remaster/remake is going to be part of a double reveal at E3 alongside prime 4

Woke up at 4am, can't get back to sleep. Surely a sign Nintendo are trying to beam information directly to my brain.

Also a police helicopter has been out for an hour; presumably they're looking for the Direct. Must be imminent.

I know a friend of mine will definitely be looking forward to Goldeneye possibly making an appearance. And of course, I know Xeno fans and FE fans are hoping they get something here, too.

As for me? Right now, I got nothing. Sure, it'll be nice to hopefully see Bayo 3 again, but for right now, my "hype" is pretty muted. I guess that'll make any surprises better, if they show up!

There are always surprises and things out of left field that no one expects. Plus, even rumors are usually hit and miss, so you never really know what we're going to get. Hopefully there will be some things that are more up your alley!
 
Man, I so wanna read this thread but I already seen too much. I like watching u guys speculate but I don't wanna know about all the games that are rumored to be announced. Just found out about Goldeneye and like some crono cross and I only read like 6-7 post. Time to go and hope I don't come back.

To follow up Magic-Man tho. Plz someone leak Deadspace fo Switch too.
