So weird. I started God of War on PC today and my laptop runs the game great, 60 fps on high settings, but no matter what I do, after 30 mins-1 hour of play, my computer gets overheated and shuts down. I've experimented with performance mode, turbo mode, silent mode, etc., and they all maintain 50-60fps, and my specs are significantly better than what the game recommends, so it's strange. Does anyone have any recommendations for how to maintain better airflow for a laptop? I already have it on an elevated cooling pad.

Catching up on The Purported Leak of The Sequel to Breath of The Wild. One thing that's pretty neat about it is that it potentially hints at what could explain how the world could be interesting to explore if it's "the same world" as the 2021 trailer suggested. If there's a Dark World mechanic and there's an entire parallel Hyrule (Lorule?) to explore, especially that you can access on the fly, that would be a compelling new world to explore. That said it sounds kinda confusing to keep track of two entirely separate and overlapping enormous maps. Which brings me back to the time travel or completely alternate reality idea if it's the same world.

The "taking place in the same world" bit is the part that still throws me about previous interviews, that I still feel will be a misdirect of some kind. Without that or with only minor or even moderate changes to the world, I think it may feel like further DLC.
 
One of the things that I hope continues in BOTW 2 is the clothing/costume choices, I want one of the outfits to be Ocarina of Time polygon adult Link or for an even deeper cut maybe the beta Zelda polygon Link that was shown from when it was still Zelda 64.

Costumes in Breath of the Wild were such a good addition. I was kinda miffed when I found out all the DLC ones weren't upgradeable - and yet amiibo ones were? wtf was up with that.

Nope :( They have fixed stats that are above the minimum, but far from end-game suitable.

I'd have enjoyed having a fully upgraded Royal Guard's uniform

One of the things that's so great about video games is that they can be incredible wish fulfillment. For instance, in CrossCode I just opened a treasure chest and five goddamn sandwiches popped out.
 
Btw I've had CrossCode on pause while catching up on the classic Zelda thread and good lord this game's music is something. ❤️

Adult me hates having tons of options and no time.

Luckily. I’m just about gonna be approved to buy a house so I have no money to spend anymore! Take that new game releases.

Not really, IMO, since it takes place in an MMO. I’ve played very few MMOs but the amount of character names referencing memes, dumb jokes, or trying to get around the sensor like “YoMamasA$$” or the like are everywhere.

Man you are really making me want to start up my new run of this game that I’ve been saving the DLC for. But I don’t have time, there’s too many other games, especially soon! One day. In the meantime, keep posting updates! Or make a LTTP thread or something.

Damn i want Team Asano on a big budget Final Fantasy, is it too much to ask ?? They always released quality, they proved themselves more than once.
Let them remake FF9 at least.

Bravely Default 2 was a good game but it sure shows that SE gave them the last penny they found under Kitase's desk.

As someone who isn't hardcore into Souls games, I always have such a hard time going back to them. Dark Souls III is kicking my butt.
