Some days ago I made the greatest fucking sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. I had deli meats. Pepperoni, ham. I didn't have iceberg so I used cole slaw which was superbly crispy. I had a good tomato. And I had good bread. I remember the process like it's happening in every moment. Bread, pepperoni, ham, mayo, slaw, Italian seasoning, white balsamic, olive oil. It surpassed anything I've ever eaten. I want to eat it again.

throwing a couple of NES games on NSO would be nice.. it's been a long time since the last update.

Murasame Castle, EarthBound Beginnings, heck, we don't have Urban Champion or Mach Rider yet!
I'd love that! Solstice would be great too. I miss that game!

I have a question guys:
What do you think of the Bluetooth Audio feature on the Switch?
Because i think its pretty bad honestly. When i use my Airpods on the Switch theres a lot of noise. The louder i turn the volume, the less i hear of the game sound. The sound quality is very bad and theres no depth.
But the delay is even worse. Normally i don’t notice delay that fast but as soon as the update came out i was like „hmm something is very off“.
My Airpods work perfect on every device like my iPhone, my old Android phone, my Samsung TV, my notebook, etc.
I never saw anyone complain online besides one person so i wanted to know if someone here is experiencing the same issues.

Its really really bad imo and i cant listen a second through them.

So thats why i bought some cheap wired earbuds only for the Switch. They work better with the Switch.
I use Galaxy buds 2 and they are great. Possibly a little quiet but not massively so. I use it all the time because I'm normally in a room with people when I play - 1 bud in rocks!

If there is latency it's so minimal that I don't notice.

honestly surprised nobody here has me on ignore
There is a way to find out if someone is ignoring you?
Staff actually can't be ignored (though as the primary server admin bellydrum can see a lot of things normal users can't).

I believe this is so mod posts and other official staff communications can't accidentally be hidden, but as a side effect I'm pretty sure you can't even ignore me if you wanted to.

Nintendo is very strict if the way people use their IP
Uhhh not really. At least not in that way, where it's clearly just a fun video and nobody is trying to make money off of it.

They have zero issues with things like that, they never have.

honestly I’m an audio dweeb (though I do care less about raw quality with games as long as the design is done well) and…

I love it. super convenient and works plenty well for me with little lag.

I use pleb AirPods, but I’ve also borrowed my partner’s AirPods Pro and used them with none of the issues you describe.

Very weird… The Airpods are loud enough but they sound really compressed if you set them to medium volume and above. At low volume i don‘t hear that compression

Just went to the store to pick up some sour cream and onion potato chips for my dad. They're gone. Counter dude asked me what I was looking for, I told him and he said "Ah yeah man, chip shortage. We'll get a shipment in and it's like people will be waiting for it and the bags will be gone in like a day or two, then we just gotta wait for the next shipment." This is surprising. I mean, I've read about the chip shortage in the Future Hardware thread but I never expected it to hit my local store. 😩

I almost always skip the first 1-2 minutes of every Youtube video nowadays. If it's not someone telling me how I should shave my balls with Manscape while listening to Raid: Shadow Legends with my Racon Wireless Earbuds then it's someone rambling on about hitting the like and subscribe buttons and following their other social media accounts.

That's why LockPickingLawyer is the best Youtube channel. His video today wasn't even 2 minutes long.

I just wanna say: pineapple on pizza alone is amazing.

But you wanna know what the GOAT pizza topping combination is? Pineapple + bacon + jalapenos. Boom.

Onion is another S-tier topping.

I like YT who can do smooth transitions in those ads or make them fun instead of just reading from a script.
It’s what I’m hoping to do if I ever do videos.

Haha yes fellow human posters, I too like food.

I enjoy such goods as frantically searches internet PIG and PLANT SPAWN on my fermented dairy squashed fruit and baked carbohydrate base.

I've never ignored anyone. I've always been curious if I was on someone's ignore list (not on this site)
Am I wrong for thinking putting folks on ignore comes across as kinda... fragile? Not in all cases, mind you, but particularly when people opt to loudly proclaim it in the thread, as if they need the whole world to know. Reading posts like "This thread has given me so many people to put on ignore", with nothing else to add to the conversation, and I can't help but think...

Granted, there are absolutely valid reasons to put some people on ignore (unending harassment, constant spam, bigotry, etc.), but in the vast majority of cases, it's done because someone shat on a video game or something. I think you could take a fat, flaming dump on my favorite game, and I still wouldn't put ya on ignore.

Belatedly occurring to me that a new Rogue Squadron game could well happen given that is actually the name of the next Star Wars film.
That would be great! Maybe we could get that on NSO, too, I used to love that game

Disney Star Wars movies are not sounding too hot on the production side of things. I expect Star Wars to really sit in the plus realm for the foreseeable future, which actually might be a better strategy for Disney anyway.
Sad thing is I'm really looking forward to these. A Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron movie, a Taika Waititi Star Wars movie, hell sign me up for the new, non-Skywalker trilogy Rian Johnson was working on. I'm ready.

Biggest Star Wars fan here and yea, I am fine with Disney pumping the breaks. Hopefully we get the Rogue Squadran movie from Patty, but otherwise they should formulate a better plan. Hopefully The Rise of Skywalker was an eye opener for them. I'm just glad D&D isn't doing a Star Wars film anymore.

In the meantime, Disney should release the OG versions of the Original Trilogy on 4k blu-ray :)

It's good to have a dedicated place that serves as a sort of lounge, for general subjects of any kind

Isn't this the Nintendo thread?

this thread, starting now, will serve more as the central hub of this community
We'll talk about ourselves, our lives, our jobs,
just a general repository for thoughts and questions we want to share or pose with our fellow community members.
Really the main thing we're going to try and keep out of this thread is discussion of rumors and speculation revolving around when the next direct is or what games may be announced/featured at said directs.

Generally, yes. But really anything goes. It should be focused on games, though.

Since 2020 I've been doing a monthly good news roundup on my social media channels, as I found it cheers me up and seems to make a lot of others feel better too. Hope this brightens your day.

January 2022 edition:

- Experimental treatment in Spain puts 18 out of 30 patients with incurable blood cancer into complete remission.

- Fusion reactor sets new record, maintaining operation for ten times longer than previous record.

- New method for treating Alzheimer’s developed, which may also benefit other organs.

- Nearly $13 million raised for Animal Shelters in honour of the late Betty White.

- Study links regular consumption of olive oil to reduced risk of dying from cardiovascular disease, cancer, or neurodegenerative disease.

- New company converts plastic waste into building blocks for construction that are tougher than concrete.

- University of Oxford develops blood test for early cancer detection, which could potentially save countless lives.

Posts like that are dumb (people commenting about how many people they've ignored in a thread) but I don't think putting people on ignore is necessarily fragile. I used to think that way but then one day I just sorta realized that a lot of people who post on message boards just aren't capable of or don't care to bring anything valuable to the conversation in any given thread and instead seem content to just drop short inflammatory remarks (or short, dull praises) on given topics and those people are just sorta not really worth reading messages by. After spending enough time on a forum you start to notice patterns in people's posting habits and you just sorta realize some people actively detract from the quality of a forum. And for me it's never the stance that gets to me but just the complete lack of quality and effort exhibited.

That said, and this may be a bit contradictory, but I don't have anyone here ignored and I'm hoping I never feel compelled to do so. I've actually never really used the function much in any forum I've posted on before, but I started using it on resetera and I started using it A LOT so I don't know if I'm capable of using it in moderation lol. But that forum is filled to the brim with low effort hot take artists and it's the reason I stopped posting there.

In other news, I've started playing Astalon: Tears of the Earth and I'm adoring this game. When I'd first heard about it I was a little intimidated at the core defining trait of the game being "when you die you start at the VERY BEGINNING of the game" but in practice the tower the game takes place in is very cleverly designed with a lot of well-placed shortcuts that never puts you too far away when you die. All three characters are also fun to use with meaningfully different movesets that make each of them good in different situations. And, my favorite part, I absolutely love scouring the dungeon looking for every secret and hidden item I can find. Metroidvanias are some of my favorite games of the past decade and so far, after 7 hours, this game seems like it's going to wind up with my favorites.
