A five guys has opened in my town in France.. do I have to test it once in my life ?
It was rated as the least healthy restaurants by Mens Health magazine at one point, so definitely worth a one time try if you want a greasy burger. They are pretty good for a fast casual restaurant and have lots of toppings. If you go just order the small portions as the large are meant to be split (though European portions are generally smaller than our giant ass American portions, so maybe this won’t apply).

Yes

I'm from California so I'm supposed to shill for In N Out but honestly, sincerely, fuck In N Out, Five Guys is vastly superior.
In and out is a disappointment (fries also are terrible). If anyone visits Seattle, they need to try Dick’s. Similar concept but actually good. They also give $19 an hour right now, insurance, sick leave and vacation immediately on hire, tuition reimbursement, and promote from within. I think a few other perks too. So worth supporting if you are gonna get fast food.

Five Guys here in Canada is just as good as the American branch it seems, which is good, because 5 Guys is awesome.

Omg. I can’t I see it.

Link’s model in OoT is not a completely humanoid model. His legs don’t connect to anything. They are just two separate legs that end once they get to his tunic.

I've always thought Five Guys was overrated. It's better then most fast food burgers but that's really not saying much. The fries are pretty good but not mind blowing.

The best burger joints are definitely the smaller local chains, the ones that have like 3-4 locations. Good Stuff Eatery is probably my favorite, they have old bay-Sriracha mayo... Soooo good.

Good stuff shakes are so good. Would go to the Capitol Hill location during the cherry blossom festival for that cherry shake.

Edit: also, anything old bay is good. The best seasoning blend there is.

I've never been much of a shake person so I've never tried them.

Their Mayo bar though, I'd spend way too long there.

This is really all I was saying, becaaause:

I agree with this.
My hometown is obsessed with big corporations, to the point where (I shit yall not) when local restaurants go out of business there tends to be a "good riddance" reaction from people and they then push to get big chains from the cities to come in. It's gross and weird and I will always, always give love to local restaurants.

But also I really just wanted to say "fuck In N Out."

I like 5 Guys but not as much as In-N-Out. Their cajun fries are bomb, but their burgers are soggy messes most of the time, and the lettuce, tomatoes, etc. always taste cooked rather than fresh. The 5 Guys restaurants near my house were busy at first when they opened, but nowadays they are ghost towns. It’s where you go when the line at In-N-Out is too long.

That said The Habit has been my goto as of late. I really dig their double char Santa Barbara style.

Habit is solid

My mom is messaging me about how she thinks The Book of Boba Fett is kinda stupid and is wondering if Boba Fett was always that old. lol

She loves the Mandalorian though and she seemed rather annoyed when I told her that she'll next to watch the series to get caught up with the Mandalorian.

I rate Five Guys about the same as other similar "higher-end but still fast food" burger places: Smashburger, Five Guys, and Shake Shack are all pretty similar IMO. I like Five Guys, especially the fries with the malt vinegar (try it! It's good!), but yeah it's not going to stand up to an actual restaurant.

(it's also kind of overpriced, since a double burger + little fry + a drink is like $18 or something)

There's a simplicity to Five Guys that I like. There's absolutely nothing surprising about their burgers or topping options, and sometimes that's exactly what I want. Plus the cajun fries are usually awesome, though they can be inconsistent.

Haven't been to In-N-Out, they're all 40+ minutes from me. I remember being meh on Habit but I think I only went once years ago, so I don't put much weight in that opinion.

+1 on local places.

Very expensive place, and we got one here finally. I still yet to try it out here. I did try it once or so in another city in my state, and was alright.

and Shake Shack
How did I forget? The actual burger quality isn't much different, but they're my favorite from this category due to the Smoke Shack burger alone. That sauce? Bomb. The cherry peppers? Fire. Bacon? Bacon.

Pricing is about as bad (I think usually a bit worse?) than Five Guys tho.

I'm also gonna give an honorable mention to Bobby's Burger Palace. It'd be at the top... if it still existed. RIP.

Five Guys is good, but as a Midwesterner, I feel I must stan Culver's as the one true Fast Foot burger.
Culver's is pretty good, but they have the same problem a lot of fast food places do where the burgers are way too thin and flat. The best burgers are thick and have some pink in the middle, but it's hard to find that except at an actual restaurant that lets you order them 'medium'.

I had Raising Canes when I was in Austin a few months ago. My god that sauce. I could drink it. They don't have those on the east coast by me

I visited Wisconsin late last year and Culver's would 100% be in my current early 20's bum-ass bachelor fast food rotation™ if I actually lived out there. As a fast food place, I had several good things to say about it.

Doing it different is a lawsuit waiting to happen for a fast food restaurant. Workers are way too rushed to make sure they don't occasionally undercook a thicker burger.

Not that it makes it any less of an indictment, it's just how it has to be at these places. If you want food done right, go somewhere that has the time to do it.

Or do it yourself. Burgers are easy.

Had an off day and wasn’t feeling all that

I also decided to show my support for team February and I am bringing back the classic Craig Spowser avatar for all of next month till when the direct gets announced

If you're in Canada the best fast food burger place is A&W

Canadian A&W is a completely different A&W than literally any other A&W

I do not have time to get into this
As someone who has had A & W on both sides of the border, I can attest that it is different. Our burgers are boring compared to the ridiculous burger family they have up there (though we do have the papa burger here).

Oh totally! I didn't mean to sound dismissive, I get why they do it like that. And Culver's is (I think?) all over the midwest/mountain west too, I know they have them in Colorado and Nebraska as well.

You guys have Quick though, which is really good
Oh yeah totally forgot about that. The brand has been largely remplaced by Burger King here so there're less and less restaurants than in the past, where it was a serious competitor to MacDonald's.
* looks around my fast food infested town * "What's a bakery?"
It's sad 'cause bread is one of the best thing that happen to humanity and I'm not even joking.

Has anyone ever pre-ordered pick-up from Best Buy? What time is it usually available?
Yes

I'm from California so I'm supposed to shill for In N Out but honestly, sincerely, fuck In N Out, Five Guys is vastly superior.
Wtf. Five Guys is not good at all. In N Out is very good. My opinion is likely colored by only having had it once, but I would put it above Shake Shack

The best burger place is Harlem Shake but sadly that's not a chain

Yeah, I'm in the mid-atlantic region. No Culver's anywhere nearby lol.

However, I have family in the south, and I'd take Cook Out over Culver's I think. I love that place.

It should be ready as soon as they open.

I pre-ordered in-store pickup at Best Buy for my Switch + BOTW way back on launch day, and it was a pretty smooth process. I just showed up when they opened that day (10AM I think?)

culver’s burgers are made of the feet that weren’t fast enough

not a fan

the frozen custard slaps hard though

Imagine telling someone four years ago that Hello Games would be one of the most loved developers in gaming and that CDPR would have a complete fall from grace to become one of the most hated. Amazing how things can change.

Don't mind me, I just saw that Hello Games decided to remaster one of their old games for IOS because a kid with autism loves the game and the parent sent a piece of fan mail asking for the remaster. Genuinely wholesome shit.

Shoot, now I'm thinking about Cook Out. They have 37 different milkshakes. That's not particularly important right now, I just felt the need to point it out. One of the few places I can go to and count on there being blueberry ice cream, which I find to be an incredibly underrated favor.
