i feel like at most there would (maybe?) be some form of three hopes dlc before the year ends but i cannot see a new mainline fe entry releasing before 2023I still want a late 2022 release for FE.
Yes I'm insane.

Nintendo could go 5 years without releasing a new game for me, as long as it means I get #StarFoxAdventuresHD (Doug I know you're reading this, get on it)
Hopefully Switch's final titles don't tank as hard as 3DS'.Switch is almost six years old. As hardware gets older, Nintendo tends to play it safer, more conservative when greenlighting projects.
3DS is a good example of this. The final years of 3DS saw plenty of ports and remakes:
That said, it's not like Switch doesn't have new games coming. We know Breath of the Wild 2 and Metroid Prime 4 are coming. We know a brand new Fire Emblem is coming. We know a DK game has been frequently rumored... (I can't personally confirm it, but I trust NateDrake).
- Luigi's Mansion 1
- Xenoblade Chronicles 1
- Majora's Mask 3D
- Hyrule Warriors
- Mario Maker
- Yoshi's Crafted World
- Captain Toad
- Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions (remake of the DS game)
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey (remake of the DS game)
So, I wouldn't worry about Nintendo's output consisting of only remasters and remakes. I think Nintendo will try to find a balance between new stuff and old nostalgia stuff. For the past five years, Nintendo found a balance between "new games" and Wii U re-releases.
Fun fact I've never seen a Sharknado movie or a shark related film. (I have if you count Finding Nemo)Doug, don't listen to him, he's a horse / shark hybrid, just show him the Sharknado movies and continue with releasing BotW 2 asap.
I'm just having a hard time believing Nintendo releasing a console capable of 4K with DLSS is going to kill that thing 3 years after it launches when they've already gone 6 years with the OG modelAre we coming to the end of a generation though? I thought Drake will be positioned as a revision, which probably means no Switch 2 until 2026-2027 or so.
Surely you've seen Shark Tale?Fun fact I've never seen a Sharknado movie or a shark related film. (I have if you count Finding Nemo)
I've only seen 20 min of the first Jaws movie.
Once about 15 years ago at least I think.. not sureSurely you've seen Shark Tale?
Nintendo Switch users buy a lot more software than 3DS users. It should be fine.Hopefully Switch's final titles don't tank as hard as 3DS'.
A game that comes up a lot is The Last Story, seems like a good fit for the audience given the strength of JRPGs. I guess the complication with that is they'd have to get Mistwalker onboard? I can't imagine Sakaguchi saying no though.
I wish for a The Last Story remaster
Still no exp system, paper mario fans are going to hate it.The Legend of Zelda: The Thousand-Year Door.
This but with Rayman. Free him.The Legend of Zelda: Why Can't Nintendo Buy the Might and Magic Franchise From Ubisoft So That They Remaster Some of Those Games
The Legend of Zelda: The Thousand-Year Door.
Nice! BTW, how much do you wanna bet people will think this is a hint?Agreed! The Last Story would fit very nicely into Switch's library.
But this time there's a new hardware coming which seems to want to smooth the transition. That could be more of the replacements for the wiiu ports to fill the first part of the coming years.Switch is almost six years old. As hardware gets older, Nintendo tends to play it safer, more conservative when greenlighting projects.
People get upset at ports, I’d say bring it. The more the merrier I sayAnyway, ports and remasters are only a good thing when it comes to filling in schedule gaps. They learned from those extremely dry first 9 months of the Wii U I guess.
The legend of Zelda link’s big nap
Will it take one hundred years to develop? Is this a launch title for Nintendo's Quality of Life project?
We're entering the 7th year of the Switch's life, that is long past when a revision should be announced and released. This isn't a New 3DS situation where the revision can last past the start of a new gen due to a lack of BC - the next gen of Nintendo will almost definitely play Switch games, releasing a Pro is redundant. Also, the sudden deluge of Gamecube remasters coming our way has "EoL maintainence mode" written all over it imoAre we coming to the end of a generation though? record it plsOk how about this, if a Paper Mario TTYD remaster (or in NSO) doesn’t show up at the Nintendo Direct, I’ll throw my switch. Bet time, how I love and loathe it!
Nintendo doesn't typically do "2" consoles. According to all the info we have about Drake it's basically just a much stronger Switch, there's nothing (known or rumored) that's unique about which would suggest it's a new generation of Nintendo console in the way they typically do those. It's rumored to have nearly the exact same form factor, uses the same joycons, has the same OS branch, etc. We're entering the 7th year of the Switch's life, that is long past when a revision should be announced and released. It's not a pro (Nintendo doesn't do "pros" either) but it's much more akin to how they positioned the GBC from what we're hearing. It'll be part of the same console family but in essence wind up replacing the base model within a few years.
For what?2 hours and 5 minutes
Honestly the expectation some have for a completely revamped joycon has been very strange to me. There are several hundred million of these things out there, they will not in any way break compatibility on the new model.elmo on fire dot gif
As long as they work on the internals they can keep them compatible.Honestly the expectation some have for a completely revamped joycon has been very strange to me. There are several hundred million of these things out there, they will not in any way break compatibility on the new model.
If Nintendo is to be believed they are constantly updating the internals. They've explicitly said so.As long as they work on the internals they can keep them compatible.
This might be the title... I got chillsspoiler
