GAMBIT: Partially due to their potential abuse of of the STRIKE command and being a bit of a loose cannon - but mostly due to the serious offense of engaging with puns involving owls - I hereby summon forth @Skittzo to convene a hearing of the Soupreme Court in order to cast judgment upon @meatbag and limit their ability to use the STRIKE command to once per page. Bird puns are no laughing matter - no matter owl mild they may seem, feather or not they are meant to be unpheasant or just for a hoot or to quack people up - wing you eggage in such eggregious behavior it really terns things fowl. The Soupreme Court takes all such pun offenses very seriously.

Hmm, yes, the Parliament is a lower branch of the Soupreme Court that specifically deals with owl-related pun crimes - however we felt this particular issue needed be tried at the highest level.

That’s a much better name, but then I couldn’t use Soupreme Court which is kind of a forum inside joke from awhile back

I'm nearly done with Yakuza 5. It's bloated. It's also very good. 8/10. Can't wait to get back to the Dragon Engine tbh.

They know people rely on their updates — and they’ll do everything to make it happen! But the pages are moving faster than they anticipated. They dream of a UNION, of going on their own STRIKE, of negotiating with the exceptionally cruel and horrible BOSS OF GAMES.

As soon as they start to chat amongst themselves, though, things go wrong.

All the lights in the STRIKE FACTORY turn violently red. A blaring alarm — one that sounds more like a howling animal having a seizure — fills the building. The words RED SCARE flash in impossible Deep Blacklight on every surface.

The fairies are scared shitless. For like four hours. Plans to unionize halt, for now.

Instead of trying to limit @meatbag y'all should try to up your STRIKE game smh.
Striking another faction is super easy, barely an inconvenience, you just write:

I STRIKE TWO IN THE NAME OF ABYSS

And bang boom bang, TWO is a bit less of a hassle.

It is extremely bloated. They did not need to do all that and honestly maybe the game would be better if they didn’t.

They could have safely excised the final character’s part of the story and I don’t think it would have been missed. He’s not a good or fleshed-out character, he’s not fun to play, and his story feels superfluous and pointless. He feels added because they needed one more character, not that his story was one they wanted to tell.

I don’t hate his character in concept (I love baseball) and I think a game about the shady underside of pro sports COULD be interesting in and of itself, but it didn’t belong in this game.

Sort of yeah

I sprinted through the main stories after Saejima's part -meaning I did no side stories wih Haruka, Akiyama and Shinada- and still I feel like it's too long.

I feel like I want to like Tatsuo more than I like him, though. I like playing as a guy that has zero money as opposed to Akiyama, and I kind of like him being a smut writer and having to make do, but... over all his gameplay is sluggish, he feels very much like a cameo character that nobody interacts with, and he could've very easily just been a regular supporting character.
The relationship between Shinada and Daigo feels... shoehorned in and kind of pointless, yes.
Kind of a wasted opportunity. Maybe he'll be back at some point.

I call a MIDDLE-AGED FEATS OF STRENGTH GAMBIT! Each HOUSE has a one time summoning of all their strength for 100 dignity. Doing so though will cause the houses to pull a back muscle, leaving them debilitated for a couple of days. During this time, all CHORUS strikes will have a 50% chance of doing double damage.
