I got called in at work due to an incident from last night, so I didn't really get any training done, today. Right now, I'm too tired to even think of working out, so that's a bummer. Though, I made some progress on Resolution #3, I talked to my crush more frequently, so that's some solace. I'm gonna turn in early, so I can workout early before work. Maybe I'll finally do 2 sets tomorrow. I'm also gonna dedicate my weekend to studying, fighting the urge to play Persona 3 Reload, it's like I'm in high school all over again. Only this time, I'm actually studying and not goofing off.....
 
Oh goodness, some how I missed the last trailer had the English language version of the theme, it’s glorious

I should also note that I've started reading "Manga in Theory and Practice". I'm only a dozen pages in, but it's still nice to see Araki's insight on how he writes his manga and the concept of a "royal road". It's interesting to see that he was inspired to lock in on being a mangaka by the author duo of Kinnikuman and how humbling it is to find a foothold in the industry. I'll read more tomorrow and share more of my thoughts.

Same. My routine is usually just a half hour on the bike and 100 weight lifts. I'm trying to lose weight and I've been told not to overdo it and take things at a steady pace. I've also been putting more rice and chicken into my diet with less junk food, that part's still a bit difficult for me.......

Also @Suswave I just had a core memory triggered: there was a youtube video waaaaaaaay back in the 00s where a drift racer literally drifts so hard that he skips into a different plane of existence. So I guess I shoulda seen it coming, the possibility that I could drift into an Olive Garden..

I can respect that! They’re pretty good when they don’t overcook them and might be better plain. But Olive Garden has great alfredo sauce to dip them in, while Fazoli’s alfredo is just… sad

Yeah....... Thankfully, when I checked it out, it was people making fun of the trend, so that's some comfort. My fluctuating faith in humanity has gone slightly up, today.

As someone who wanted to be artist back in Middle school, I concur. But I've got too many resolutions to keep track of, so I'll make mental note for next year!

I have, actually! Matter of fact the book I read most recently is referenced a few times in this ST!

When you're in a rural area and you like Italian-ish food it's like an oasis

I know it's neither authentic or really all that great but just to help yall understand how bleak it is out here: when we had family visiting years ago and we did a little road trip, it fell on me to figure out where to have dinner because I knew how to google stuff. So I suggested Olive Garden because I thought it'd be simple enough for the family but still different enough to be special.

My grandparents couldn't read the menu because it was "in a foreign language," nobody understood what they were getting, and at the end of the evening my dad chided me for picking "an exotic restaurant" because he assumed I was trying to be pretentious and weird.

It's bad out here. 😅

I was hoping the hilarity would come through! As a side dish: I forget the context but one of my aunts was talking one day about going out to eat and she said something along the lines of "we can go out to a normal restaurant like Taco Bell maybe once or twice a week but don't go to a really fancy restaurant like Chili's or Applebee's more than once a month" and I swear I was basically the melty-smiling emoji

I have visited places, I've spent time in LA, San Francisco, Vegas, Tokyo, I know there's great food out there, but in a way that sucks because it means I know the difference. 🤣 At least we have fantastic Mexican food out here, and my dad can cook a mean steak. I find the little joys.

But seriously as soon as the psychic teleportation thing is figured out I'ma hit you up

Anytime I see Olive Garden mentioned it reminds me of the live action Resident Evil Netflix series.
