i'm genuinely starting to think that Pyoro got caught... They gathered a lot of attention and was revealing way too much; there was no hints anymore, they were basically telling people what will happen.

He did. He gained like 45 thousand followers over the weekend. He was just straight up leaking stuff and Nintendo doesn’t fk around. We know how Nintendo is with this. They send lawyers to people for all kinds of things.

OK guys, I wanna spread some positivity here. Metroid Prime 4 remains a possibility I think, a reminder:

Nate said that Nintendo targets a release window of H1, 2024. And, that it would be the opportune time to announce it - IF - nothing has changed.

This would make sense taking an early release of the new hardware into consideration, as well as it being one of, if not THE last major Nintendo title(s) for Switch. Time is running out after all.

I hope my thoughts are wrong and it does make a showing. It'd make for a delightful surprise.

not particularly because how do you play that on a TV? gyro controls wont be precise enough i don't think. and with the Switch touch screen you either gotta use your finger for touch controls or one of those rubbery tipped pens. either your switch is left covered in finger prints or, at least in my experience, the tipped pen has a lot of friction so it's just not as smooth of an experience compared to the DS or Wii games.

If the release is staggered then I’m buying the earliest available one. But, I am currently under the assumption that both versions would release the same day.

Honestly, I'd much prefer them to save it for a successor console. Astral Chain is probably my choice for "single most underrated Switch title" but I can't help but feel like the hardware holds it back a bit. I'd love to see more anime cops, but especially so on stronger hardware.

It's definitely a nightmare and we all gonna wake up tomorrow when Metroid Prime 4 closes the Direct. #TTP

Seriously tho there isn't a single insider that ever knew about everything. We've had Tears of the Kingdom at E3 2019, last Direct we got Luigi's Mansion 3 and Princess Peach, I think it's likely that if Nintendo is finally gonna show MP4 they're keeping it as close to their chest as possible, just like TotK last September.

Metroid Prime 4 showing tommorow or not, will depend if the game is a Switch exclusive, cross-gen game.

Nintendo seems to be very secretive about this project. Maybe it makes sense that you (and other people) have not heard anything about it showing tomorrow.
 
Even if Metroid Prime is cross gen that doesn’t mean they have to save it for Switch 2 reveal. They can still show it here with no gameplay

It wouldn't be relevant since Genealogy is more likely to be reminiscent of Three Houses in terms of storytelling than Engage. Three Houses developers had even spoken about it being one of the main prior game influences on Three Houses.

If anything it would have been feedback from Three Houses success that caused them to greenlight it, but I suspect it was being planned even before that, assuming Imran Khan was right about there being another 3DS remake that was cancelled.
 
When do we think the idea of a Switch Pro was scrapped and the decision was made to shift focus onto a Switch 2? Depending on what state Prime 4 was in when that call was made, they may wait for the Switch 2 reveal to show it again.

I want a "2K hearts Switch" portion of the direct, but instead it's "EA hearts Switch" and it's just Mario and Luigi in a port of the new UFC game.

They announced MP4 for the Switch, they won't show gameplay for the first during the Switch 2 presentation lmao. They have to re-reveal the game first for the original console. It could just be a simple teaser like they did in June 2021 with TotK.
