Idk, I love the DKC/Country universe and I wouldn't want that to go away. But I wouldn't mind if DK was playable in Mario games or something

I'm not saying they should do away with the setting or characters the Country universe have introduced us to. I'm more saying I'd love to see what they're doing in the movie being done in the games-taking that world, and expanding on it through the lens of the wider Mario Universe. DK's Island and Kong Society have never looked grander than they have so far in the shots we've from the movie, and it's clear that Nintendo and the Illumination Creative Team have a ton of respect for the Country franchise. DK's first character poster even had Swanky Kong on it, a character beloved by fans who hasn't appeared in a new DK game since 1996 (DKC3 (I'm not counting the GBA port)),
 
It's true that the DKC-themed stuff in the movie has looked great so far imo. Makes me really excited to see what they'll do with a DK movie, if the rumors are true and they are doing that

Yes it is. Later than home console releases. They said that. Nacon always does this, currently we're waiting late ports of Blood Bowl III and VTM Swansong to arrive. Hopefully soon.
 
I'm starting to think the classic Pokémon games won't be on NSO. Maybe they'll be separate purchases eventually but not sure about that either. Guess I just have to hope my 3ds doesn't die anytime soon or my og Blue cartridge will still work for a good long while. Although my GBA SP's battery can't hold a charge anymore so I have to keep it plugged in to the outlet to play it on there.

oh thank goodness. i was telling my co worker earlier today how good the new trailer was and he got pretty pumped. He's got an xbox so it's a lock for him. Thanks for the confirmation :)

I‘m just practicing if I once get invited in a Nintendo Direct as a successful game designer or more likely trough coincidence. Today I learned that this is the way you address the Direct void if you are not a Japanese speaking person.

Super Smash Bros Brawl released in North America 15 years ago today! We've never seen a Nintendo game cross-over quite like it before or since.

I'm earnestly sad Sakurai felt the game was spoiled just because people uploaded the cutscenes to YouTube and never did them again.

I feel like it would have been a bigger disappointment if people felt they were so forgettable they weren't worth going through the trouble to capture and upload online for everyone to see.

Like, if I go and search "Super Smash Bros Brawl Epic" before I can even finish typing 'cutscene', the internet knows exactly what I mean

I can’t believe in the process of “modernizing” RE4 they actually made it harder. I get no time to aim at the enemy before they’re right in my face lol

I still have hope in the Nintendo Cinematic Universe. The Mario Movie already laying the groundwork with portals to different worlds.
 
Vaati is the worst final boss I've ever faced in a Zelda game. I cannot for the life of me deflect his mini eyeballs' stupid beams where I want them to go. The deflection always misses one of the four, and the duplicating mechanic is already tedious as fuck as it is. Awful. Gave up for the night, but this is really making me appreciate Minish Cap less

Not a dumb question, we genuinely don’t know yet. But it seems somewhat unlikely since there’s seemingly no involvement from Nintendo and it’s being outsourced. Will have to wait for the collection to release so we can go look at the credits.

It’s not much shorter than other WarioWare games in terms of single player content, but it’s not very good either. If you’re a fan I’d consider it but otherwise save your money.

The main issue is that all of the micro games center around controlling a character with a very specific “move” (one can only fore to the right, on bounces up and down constantly, etc) which works for and against the solution to these. You get to choose 3 characters usually and some of the solutions are super easy or nigh impossible depending on which characters you select. The old micro games were always self contained solutions, so you just needed to know what to do to beat them. I think it’s fun even solo but is way more of a multiplayer focused idea since you can have multiple people trying to beat each micro game.

What’s everyone expectations for the Mario film Box office?

I think it’ll become the highest grossing video game movie. If just barely. Think they’ve done a good job with the marketing so far. Just needs to keep the interest going till the release date.

The single player is as meaty as any other WarioWare. That main campaign is about the same, and then you actually have an extra mission mode that is fun, very challenging, and quite extensive. You can also do fun stuff like collecting knick knacks from a gatcha machine to level up your characters in mission mode, so if you're going for 100% the game will take you a while.

I loved my time with it, the gameplay feels fresh because of the new mechanics and it works very well. I only played solo.

I feel like it'll hit $1 Billion. So much nostalgia for Mario and so many young fans too. It'll be the best performing video game movie ever.

Well, i just did my part for the billion, three tickets for the kids (even the eldest wants to see it!), one for the Mrs. and one for me.

That's ~70€.

Nintendo expectations are probably around +1 billion, same as most successful Minion movies.

Very very intriguing in how it will perform this movie in box office. A success will probably greenlight Luigi, Yoshi and DK movies (I know DK is mostly confirmed) + a sequel with Rosalina.
 
Marketing's going all out right now for the movie it seems. I just went to Amazon.de to check some prices and the first thing i see on the home page is a biiiiig ad for the movie and the ticket pre-orders.

They're prolly already doing contract stuff with the directors and all for a sequel.

Clearly this means Sony should buy Square Enix. Or that Square Enix messed up by not releasing the games on Xbox where like a dozen people tops would've bought them.

Instead of releasing so many games in a 4 month window and not advertising any of them.
