You just come, me and my Super Soaker and NERF gun can take on all of you.

opener: BOTW 2 > WWHD/TPHD
early mid-direct: gust FE
late mid-direct: GB/C + GBA NSO
closer: MP1R > MP4

i'm assuming a 40-45 minute direct here so it's easier to split up into roughly even sections.
This is a strong prediction, because closing on Zelda for a third time would be somewhat annoying imo. Show Zelda at the beginning and then bring it home with Metroid

I think it was dardan who said if both games were released separatedly he wouldny buy it, which i think is the correct decision imo.
I'm in this camp too. Love me some Wind Waker. TP has moments but is kind of mid, so I didn't buy it standalone on Wii U either. But in a two-pack, I'm down.

There's a good reason to end on Zelda. Many people stop watching and/or flock to social media to talk about it

It was a tweet saying the Switch Pro is imminent, but I've never heard of the source

Weekend will be a hard wait, and then an announcement Monday right? I dont see them announcing it on Tuesday for Wednesday that may be too late before TGS

So what do we expect from the heavily-rumored Metroid Prime HD Remaster? Better lighting? An arranged and optional soundtrack? Expanded areas to explore? Gyro aiming goodness?

Imagine the boss fight against the Wiggler on the beach

Or the sea monster with the dirty teeth. You need the gravity suit for that one

I don’t see Fire Emblem as the closer. To me it’s either BotW 2 or a new Mario game.

I’m not sure if Nintendo will have BotW 2, TPHD/WWHD, Metroid Prime Remaster, new Fire Emblem, new Mario/DK game all in one direct. It seems like too many “big” game announcements for Nintendo in one presentation. I think Fire Emblem and Mario/DK is a one or the other situation.

But let’s look at all the first party announcements in the February 2022 direct.

-Fire Emblem Three Hopes
-Switch Sports
-Mario Strikers BL
-Xenoblade Chronicles 3
-Earthbound on NSO
-Mario Kart 8 dlc

So they did have a pretty good amount of stuff in that direct. 4 of them are brand new games. Maybe Nintendo will do Fire Emblem and Mario/DK, Metroid Prime, BotW 2, GB/GBC/GBA in the same direct.
I basically count the MK dlc as a new game. Mario Kart has been my favourite game this year and the dlc is a large reason why. When all the waves are complete it'll be ridiculous the amount of tracks you've got to choose from.

Viewership for the Direct would drop hard if they show Zelda at the beginning; a lot of people are watching in the hope to see something new about BOTW2 and Nintendo probably knows that.

The rumors point to a pretty substantial remaster of the first game, unlike the upcoming ones of the sequels. Hence my question. ;)
I'm personally expecting an 1:1 recreation, with slight better visuals; Nothing crazy.

I feel Retro did this as an experiment so they could carry over the experience to Prime 4.. after all, they contracted a bunch of new folks and the team is barely the same that worked on the first 3 Prime games.

This feels like when Aonuma proposed Wind Waker HD, so the Zelda team internally could build the expertise on HD development before going to Breath of the Wild.

Oh, I must've missed this. I thought it was going to be a bigger deal according to Nate (I believe)?
The rumor has long been the same game with shiny graphics layered on top of the original. They didn’t want the code otherwise touched.

The term suggested was Remakester. More than a remaster, less than a remake. Think Xenoblade DE.

A bigger deal, yes, but it sounds to me like it's closer to something like BluePoint's Shadow of the Colossus remake than Resident Evil 2 Remake (as an example).

I do however expect more control options.

Ah, yes, I was thinking/remembering it along those lines. Great stuff to look forward to.
