I think if we get a "still in development" message, there will, at the very least, be some kind of hint that we won't have to wait much longer, or some screenshots or something like that.
 
I did forget about practical brush, though it’s safe to say their style of leak won’t be happening again. Snitch is playing it a lot safer, that’s for sure.

This is the only time the contents of an all-digital event has leaked in this nature. Other Direct adjacent leaks of this scale have only happened due to the nature of physical events; the Mario Maker leak before E3 2014, the January 2017 Switch presentation leak, the game logo banners and Smash info leaked before E3 2018; all from staff involved in the preparation and setup.

F-Zero GX HD, Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Metroid Prime HD, all four rumored to be in the upcoming direct rumored to happened almost exactly one month from his tweet.

That’s my guess anyway, feel free to corect me @LiamRobertson (or not if you can‘t because of obvious reasons ^^)

Content complete is before polishing, final bugfixing/QA basically just every feature and asset that's supposed to be in there is there?

Wait a sec, if they’re a Google/Youtube employee and have access to a It Takes Two Switch thing then that means…THEY MUST HAVE THE DIRECT!! Maybe, maybe not, who really knows?

Content complete would be the game is done but still needs to go through the polishing, big fixing/QA phase of things. Core development is done but there is still work to be done. Think of it like a film finishing shooting. It still has to through editing and post production before the master copy is finalized.

Advance Wars, for an example, went gold. The copy that leaked earlier this year was the final build of the game.
 
I can’t wait for PAX East 2023 (cuz that’s the only time ever that I’ll be able to actually go to a major gaming convention)

Does the snitch reveal Nintendo stuff? I was under the impression he only knew third party games that would be featured
 
My advice if you want to watch the ND without spoiler or if you watch the replay

1) Temporarily switch Twitter and YouTube accounts
2) Disable all youtube and twitter notifications and other networks such as reddit, discord...
3) From the ND announcement copy the link and paste it in your notes. The d-day all you have to do is click on the link.

Here you can take full advantage of nintendo direct

Pros and cons to each style.

Like I do like mostly getting to the point with the modern style though not everything should be a headline. Sometimes just rolling into the next thing is better or having some context before you see something. I also miss some of the skits, deeper dives into things, and developer presence. I wish they wouldn’t be afraid to go past 40 minutes or whatever to let somethings breathe.

The last partner showcase which was all headlines all the time kind of stunk on the presentation end even if the content was good for example. Though in that particular case with some of the transitions feeling extra sloppy it really felt like it was going to be a normal direct and they just roughly cut out chunks of it most of which was probably first party related.

Tbh I don't miss the older style at all. Worked when there was like nothing coming to the Wii U, but nowadays? Nah, give me my meatier directs.
