good is relative...for me it looks rather booring except of zelda. im fine with rereleases, remasters and stuff... but im still mostly interested in new gaming experiences, and a presentation filled to the rim with ports and remasters gives me a sour taste.

Also: whats up with Skyrim, that has to be a joke, right? =O
Not a joke, it was rated for Switch yesterday.

Let's separate the potential announcements into leaks and rumors from insiders:

Leaked (rating board/retailer):
  • Batman Arkham Collection
  • Remnant From The Ashes
  • Biomutant
  • Humankind
  • Risen Remastered
  • Skyrim Anniversary Edition
  • Saga Frontier 2 Remastered

From insiders:
  • LoZ Twilight Princess & Wind waker
  • Metroid Prime remaster
  • Call of Duty Modern Warfare
  • Metal Gear Solid 1-2-3
  • It Takes Two

Let's see how many of these will be there.
Great post!! Oh, who talked about CoD MW and MGS?

A LM1 remaster that's more inline with the original GCN release atmospherically/lighting-wise would be a fucking dream tbh

We should be getting paid for posts if our ideas are being read and considered, but I would be open to settling on 1 free game voucher for I don’t know, 300 posts seems reasonable.

I apologize for taking so long to respond to everyone. For the record, I do read everyone's posts. Please don't think I'm ignoring you.

You would be extremely surprised to hear which famous Nintendo executives had accounts over at Resetera. I would know this because I approved some of those accounts during my brief 1-year stint as an administrator over there. To protect their privacy, I won't reveal any names or usernames. But the main point is: Nintendo isn't the bubble that people think it is. They do secretly get out there and interact with the fans on the internet.

Over at Era, there were so many instances when Nintendo Era members didn't realize they were arguing with famous Nintendo senior producers. Cerium and I would see Nintendo fans telling a senior Japanese Nintendo executive: "You're an idiot. You don't know what you're talking about"... Because they didn't know the user worked at Nintendo. 😬
This is kinda telling how complicated Nintendo must be. As much as I‘m sure that certain developer/producer listen to (or at least read) fan feedback on here or on reddit and co., to actually translate it to their products has to be a different story of difficulty.

Telling the fans to keep their expectations in check is weird because I imagine that a good majority of F-Zero fans would by super hyped for an F-Zero GX Remaster. Heck, probably of a good portion would prefer that over a brand new F-Zero. So if that tweet is actually referring to something real, I don't think it is referring to a GX Remaster. That or Syluxhunter just has a giant disconnect between what they think fans want and what they actually want.
I think it could be most people guessing a new F-Zero game on the replies and he told to manage expectations as in "not a new one"?

Anyways that gave me F-Zero 99 vibes. But I'm talking about GX specifically because of Liam's tweets and Nate's reply.

Fully prepared to be as annoying as possible about F-Zero GX being a huge departure from the impeccable style of X.
Real talk though I'm here wondering what Nintendo could do to mess this up. I mean it goes without saying it's a full price release, but are people prepared for it to not have an online mode or any AX content?

Too much plausible deniability for me to give it any weight.

I don't like "clue" tweets. It's just as easy to say "it didn't mean anything" when it doesn't turn out, or referenced as evidence if it does
Yeah, either say "x is coming" or "what I've heard is x is coming", none of this vague "fans of wide net topic here will be happy" nonsense. Cause GC nation can be "winning" if it's just WW + TP HD and Metroid Prime Remake announced, even though that's been rumored forever.

I was ride or die with Metroid Prime 4 being a 2019 release.
Me too 💀💀💀💀

And we actually weren't that of as the Bamco game was expected to be a 2019/2020 release(Daniel Ahmad/Zhuge talked about it after the cancellation/reboot happened).

The fan base has been asking for a new F-Zero the whole gen. We've had many posts speculating if EPD9, PlatinumGames, etc, could be making a new one.
So yeah, Skylux saying "maybe manage your expectations a little" seems about right for a GX remaster. Not like they're saying "oh yall going to be disappointed,, it's nothing".

F-Zero GX remaster is happening.

Ooooh I hadn't heard anthing about MGS. I'd sure be happy about that one. I hope so!

Sidenote: Remaster The Twin Snakes you cowards

Heres my cryptic insider hint, i hope Nintendo finally Hatches this giant egg and announces the direct…
Link's Awakening Remake Remake, you heard it here first folks

I really can't imagine they'll put MP remake, WW and TP remasters, and an F-zero remaster all in the same direct.
They did squeeze Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition, Dark Souls Remastered and more ports in a Mini already lol.

But if we're talking about the fan favorite franchises, it also happened with Metroid Dread, BotW 2 and Advance Wars on the same E3 Direct.

Are you going to sit here and tell me that, while yes, it was a stylistic departure from the impeccable F-Zero X, that the genius brains behind Daytona USA made an F-Zero game that is worth being annoying about???
Sega peaked with Sega Rally Championship

Is GB and GBA NSO a reasonable expectation to see here? I know Nate said GB has been done for a while and Grubb said he'd expect NSO news..
I would say yes. At the very least GB/GBC, I totally expect it here.
And probably GBA too.

There is a reason for the vagueness, i dont think anyone is trying to protect their reputation, rather their sources. If they come out and say “hey i heard x is getting announced” that could help provide nintendo a bread trail that leads back to their source, and someone could lose their job or get sued. Also, i think people respect the work that goes into marketing a game, so they dont want to outright kill the surprise. I have friends in this industry, and ive heard some things too (nothing about nintendo) but i wouldnt feel comfortable outright saying any of it because i dont want my friends to get into trouble. Also plans change, ill be vague but i heard of a game that was supposed to get announced from my friend at a company. The game got cancelled before it ever got announced, these things just happen.

I’m honestly dreading what the game’s online will be like. I cannot see them nail 30 player multi.

I don't see them dropping GB/C without Advance, but this is Nintendo we're talking about, so I dunno

GB/C for base plan, GBA for EP. You gotta cover both people.

Or they could just say fuck it and add everything to the EP, but GBC games are NES/SNES tier so it doesn't feel right to me to gate them into the higher tier subscription.

And I PRAY we get Pokémon on the service. This would be my Direct megaton considering the rumored titles are either already announced (BotW2), leaked (new FE) or ports of games I don't care about (F-Zero, Metroid Prime, Zelda WW/TP).

Open your eyes. Wake up Fami!

The only options now are:
-This Upcoming Week
-The Week of 12th

The blood Direct Speculation rises once again.
Be careful Fami!

My expectation is the $20 tier gets GB/GBC and the Expansion Pack gets GBA

If you gonna miss this Direct live than you are fucked because you want to be there live when the title for next Zelda game is unveiled. That's something that cannot be replicated via released trailer.

I wonder if the September N64 NSO game will get revealed early at the Direct, or if they'll just announce it just before the 23rd (which is the average 35 days inbetween releases for the service)

If it's a more notable bombshell type of game (like say, Diddy Kong Racing and/or other Rare games) then I could see that being a headliner. Like how Earthbound and Earthbound Beginnings were for the February Direct earlier this year.

I’m gonna will Smash 64 on NSO into existence

Willing Diddy Kong Racing into existence
Smash or DKR would be heavenly, especially if both are by the end of the year.

Godspeed, rebels

Avoid the internet and when you get home, pull up the direct on youtube while covering at least one eye so you don't get spoiled by anything.

Been there, done that....

We are unlikely to get an announcement of Pokemon until Pokemon Day next year or a possible early January Pokemon Presents for SV DLC, like what happened at the beginning of 2020.

Also, I'm betting Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 for N64 NSO announced at the same time.

Yep, this obviously works too. I am also avoiding internet few hours before Direct starts because I swear there is always someone who leaks something just hours before the event or Nintendo accidentally puts in on their site imao

Since Nintendo very likely looks at FamiBoards, we know that they're here. But since they are aware of our awareness, they know, that we know about them. And now we are aware of that awareness so, we know, that they know, that we know, about them.

I am shook

Just like with Kirby on last year's September direct

You mean to tell me other people watch the direct live? Huh, odd. Who’s got the time for that? Lol
