We don't know yet. It seems, if Jeff Grubb is correct (and he's been on the ball with Nintendo this year), that both Wind Waker and Twilight Princess need to be announced because they're actually launching on Switch soon.

Given Emily Rogers, Nate and Jeff Grubb have all stated Prime HD exists and is coming this year, it looks like we will have a slightly sudden splash of remasters to join the original titles launching this year. We also have Advance Wars remakes done and dusted with no release date.

For now, I'd treat talk of a Kid Icarus Uprising remaster as speculation rather than something happening soon.

Personally I do wonder if Nintendo will give us a peak at a late 2023 game, which could well end up being the next 3D Mario. 2D Mario has had fairly short reveal to release windows with the last few outings, but that's another big title which has a shot at 2023, and there's bound to be stuff we don't know about.

While it's true Nintendo usually concentrate on a 3 to 6 month period for each Direct, that's not all they show. I think a key facet here is whether Zelda is still first half 2023 (spring meaning March through June for Nintendo). If it is, Nintendo might want to put another big title on everybody's radar for 2023.

Seems like some of the “new” announcements from Nintendo will most likely consists of ports of WWHD/TPHD and Metroid Prime Remaster. I hope there’s a bunch of actual brand new game announcements.

Well I'm sorry that you took it that way. Merging the threads was a somewhat controversial opinion for a variety of reasons. I opposed it because it worsened readability and mixed discussion of the game with reactions to the Direct itself. My remark was meant as a throwaway remark about the merger, not in any way a personal attack against you for being one of many people to complain about the game and its Direct.

Depends on what you think is overpriced
A HD remaster of a 20 year old GameCube game, with beautiful visuals and considered to be one of the best games of all time for 60 dollars

A double pack featuring the two HD remasters of classic Zelda games with various upgrades and QOL features for 60 dollars

Doesn't seem overpriced to me personally
 
I just finished my work contract now I finally get some time off. A September 1st Direct would’ve been perfect but at least it’s pretty soon.

I want I direct that tells us about Xenoblade 3 DLC Wave 2, Fire Emblem 3 Hopes DLC, and New Fire Emblem, ending with the surprise reveal of Shez and Noah in Smash.

I mean, in fairness when I got an email from Gamestop asking me to pre-order Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope they typoed and called it the Party of Hope. Probably autocorrect shenanigans, just like me wrestling with my new phone autocorrect. I can type perfectly valid words for the sentence and get autocorrected to something else.
