After catching up on twelve pages... 🙃

YOU DON’T THINK…

Just imagine, GB and GBC games announced for the regular deal, then all of a sudden it turns to black, and then it shows a Gamecube game, then GBA.

I'm not sure how NSO actually works, but the games aren't streamed right? They're all downloaded to your system and you can only get acces if you have the proper subscription? If that's the case, disregarding the remaster potential for GameCube games which would make Nintendo way more money, aren't GameCube games too big to all be installed in such an app?
My speculation that I keep drumming is that the (theoretical) Gamecube NSO app will simply function as a shell, where you can download the games you want to play within to respect the space of the Switch's HDD.

That being said, it'll still make more sense to install the GC NSO app if at all possible on an external SD card just to ensure there aren't any sudden hiccups between the app installed on the Switch and games installed on the SD card.

Wired: Star Fox Adventure 2
Pleeeeeeeeeeeease 😭

Also, was the Snitch's most recent morse code tweet and it's resulting translation amount to anything worth discussing?

Bold choice to release Not Devil's Third 2 on Valentine's Day

Wasn’t sold until they said it was from the makers of DOA extreme beach volleyball…

/s

Actually didn’t look half bad in the “throw lots of crazy stuff at the wall and it might stick sort” of way. Also made me want a remaster of Mad World for some reason.

No worries you're good, man. I get what you're saying and agree. That post wasn't really a response to you as much as it was to lay out my thoughts for the benefit of whoever reads it, as an answer to the sentiment (verbatim) of 'the Zelda timeline has never existed, developers never intended for continuity between games, and the fans who obsess over it are stupid". Yeah, that thread on the other forum really bothered me with how unnecessarily negative it got, that I would rather voice my thoughts on a different platform. Maybe I feel some type of way because I've been talking about this stuff since I was like, 9 on Zelda Universe forums lol

Sorry about that !
I'll be a little more sensitive around the subject next time, didn't know it was a point of contention :p . Sorry!
Is that regional pricing?
For some weird reason BotW has been a €70 game since launch. In brick-and-mortar stores it's often regularly priced though.

Since that quote is from a Kanye West song titled "Pinocchio Story", some people are theorizing that it means that new information about Lies of P (a souls-like inspired by Pinocchio <- now that's a fucking sentence) will be revealed soon.

Color me crazy for it by I think Star Fox 64 Remastered(like, the 3DS remaster remastered) is a good testing waters for it.

Tho an Assault or Adventure remaster definitely would do better.
I can see the appeal of a remastered Star Fox showcase game for fans for sure, I don't think it's crazy, I just think it would need to be completely revamped in a fresh way to have much sales appeal with SF64 already on NSO, SF64 3D already being an excellent modern remaster (albeit handheld), and SF0 feeling like a remake of SF64 in some ways from what I understand. I think Adventures would have slightly more appeal but not sure if Assault would. I think what the SF series really needs is a completely need and different modern sequel experience, probably an Uprising-style epic re-envisioning of the series. I'm only a casual SF fan though so I might have this wrong. 😀

yeah. All sf had in recent times were remasters and its sales only got worse.

Sure sure you can say ''oooh but it would sell better on switch'' and that's true but i dont think it would reach the level of a new entry by a great studio without miyamoto meddling.

I don't know if this was shared but seems like we wont have to wait much longer:

I honestly don't see how this could mean that we are getting something soon. But I'll eat my words if we get something at the next Direct.

I think my most wanted game of the year is definitely m plus r. Wonder if someone will have difficulty to understand what this means in the first 3 seconds

I enjoy nintendo games with very high production values.

Ubisoft will be the one to get past the 90 this year be sure to write that nerds

Wasn’t aware of that. At first I thought Nintendo finally delved into 70 dollar games
Yes, as far as I know they’re the only two games they decided to sell for 10€ more than all other games.
Considering their respective scope that doesn’t surprise me, even though we generally had a general 10€ bump on all first party games since Wii U - in Europe at least, I can’t tell for US or Japan.

As for the Direct, is there really a chance it could happen before the release of Splatoon 3?

I miss the Chao

Sonic Team shoulda just brought them back and been done with it.
Hey hey hey 😀 Thought experiment!

GBA comes to NSO. It offers Sonic Advance in 2023.

Sonic Adventure 1&2 get an HD Double Pack remaster next year, 2 player online and connectivity with the NSO app much like it will for Pokemon RBYGSC and Stadium 1 & 2, but for the Chao Garden.

How sad do we cry when this doesn't happen/on a scale of one to 8 billion how big is the angry mob with torches and pitchforks that's gonna hunt me down for putting this idea into the universe and then it doesn't manifest?

I was surprised to see how close to Dinosaur Planet and Star Fox Adventures actually were. A modern rendition of it would hopefully fix some of the more egregious Rare-isms in that game.
To think that in Dinosaur Planet, the Krazoas were actually the bad guys. Scales and Drakor (who had real dialogue, motivations and background) were right from the start but their methods were way too extreme -and they werent the final bosses-. Sabre / Fox dies in the story (killed by Drakor). Also there's was a bad ending where the Krazoas take over the Lylat System.

The amount of cut content is just incredible.

The boss theme for the Drakor battle, pretty epic. Sadly only a small part of the battle is doable in the unreleased rom.

Last week of August/First week of September feels too soon.

They can still do a Direct just before Splatoon 3 comes out, with a small reminder that it's coming out that Friday.

People expecting Direct during Splatoon week are the same people who think that Splatoon 3 is not worthy sequel

I've got no dog in this fight (never played Splatoon) so I'm curious: why would Splatoon 3 coming out on the 9th affect whether or not there's a Direct on the 7th? In fact, wouldn't that give Nintendo the opportunity for one last high profile marketing push via a short segment in the Direct? Or do big releases tend to get a week to hog the spotlight, with no other big Nintendo news to crowd them out? Is there any precedent either way?

if we hadn't heard from natedrake that there was something in september I would be strongly endorsing an october direct tbh

there's no time in september that really makes sense

Not sure I agree with that but also, it's ALWAYS in September.

Well ARMS came out on E3 week, take that how you will.

Nintendo's marketing hasn't made sense to me for a few months now so September definitely tracks

Splatoon don't really need one last push imo. You want all of the media coverage on Splatoon 3 week about Splatoon 3. You don't want people to talk about "oh, that new trailer for BOTW2 looks amazing" and so on. Also, there has been little to no info about story mode, even in the Splatoon Direct. Which makes people think that there is a final trailer with story mode in that said Direct. But that's just my two cents.

Yeah, I'm half-expecting a September 1st Direct honestly because that works.
right now it's a question of which minor hiccup seems more doable: announcing and airing a direct between two months or doing a direct the week of a major game

I have aligned myself with the latter pretty much exclusively because I trust derachi
