It is really bizarre how Nintendo has just gone totally dark on marketing lately, I dunno if it's because of game development being in flux or what

I'm not complaining really, the games will come when they do, but the lack of structure to the Direct scheduling has been odd
It is odd because if i am correct the only games announced with no set date by Nintendo themselves are BOTW2 and Metroid prime 4?

I voted in the poll for everything but the Kirby release date or release. Because it'll be randomly dropped in September, Nintendo's favorite summer month.

Indie world should be on everyone’s list. The August presentation is the most reliable pattern of the last 5 years.
I definitely want an Indie World, I voted for it, and I think it’s very likely still, but I do think it’s plausible it skips this month. The last one ran a bit later than expected and some of the games they’ve been showing have been farther and farther out. Whenever it happens, I really hope we finally see Sports Story again.

Aside from Pokemon and Splatoon I don't think they have time for much else.
But the kirby thing isn't very important so I could see them dropping that.

I'm more than up for another partner showcase...especially if Capcom's the star.

Still eagerly awaiting whenever Rockman Taisen finally shows itself!

I'm a fan of "American" as a British insult

Here in Italy whatever food abomination is served in restaurants or bars are often labelled "americana".

Pizza with french fries on top? Pizza americana
Coffe so diluted it's brown water? Caffé americano

I think Nate will just say "Persona 5 overrated and cringe"

B-based Nate?

Is it likely the Metroid Prime HD remaster will be announced on this month? What's the latest they could announce it? September?

Depends on when they want to release it! ;D

September (Direct) could mean it's a "surprise" holiday title, or part of the "coming in 2023" previews that a September Direct usually has.

Via Twitter drop in August would (imo) definitely mean a 2022 release.

In theory, though that's a big "if" we're talking, they could also announce it during TGAs 2022 if they feel generous enough to give Keighley some candy.
Though it should be said again that it does feel like the Nintendo + Geoff friendship ended with Reggie leaving the company.

I don't think nintendo has enough new 2022 announcements to do a general direct, the whole year got scheduled early, hence what has been unraveling before our incredulous eyes this summer.

How many new Nintendo games did they announce for 2019 here ? And that was one of the biggest Direct of the Switch era.

People (justifiably) expected Pokémon news last month and there was nothing. I do expect Pokémon news in August but nothing is a guarantee
