Haven’t really checked out this thread in a few days, everyone still hyped?

Apparently I need an /s to post this

Don't see even a remote chance of Advance Wars this year unfortunately.

They delayed it because of the war in Ukraine, which is very much still ongoing. To even acknowledge it again before that's 'over', would be odd.
There's no telling how long that war will continue unfortunately. I'd be surprised if they put Advance Wars on freeze for potentially years, but we shall see.

Is it? Bayonetta, Rabbids, Pokemon, Splat 3 fill 4 months of the rest of this year. We know this summer pretty well at this point. What's left?
Nintendo is no stranger to announcements 2-3 months out. I get you guys want big events, but there's no need to be overly antsy. We JUST got Kirby which is releasing in the next month or two at most.

They didn’t delay it because of the war in Ukraine, they delayed it because of the media coverage of the war in Ukraine.

If it dies down to a point where Nintendo believes the optics won’t be bad, they’ll put it out. Who knows exactly when that will be, but 2022 isn’t out of the question.

If by any chance Nintendo ever sees this thread I wanna say one thing:

Hi

I didn't think out weirding the idea of a 2022 Partner Showcase was possible, but somehow Nintendo did it by announcing a game with a vague season window like halfway through said window. Something bizarre is going on over there.

Nintendo Direct fans taking Ls left and right meanwhile us Better Call Saul fans be EATIN’

  • "Furukawa-san, the fans are complaining about Toothpaste-chan, wdwd?"
  • "Cancel the June Direct."
  • "But it is tradition for us to have a—"
  • "I said cancel it."
  • "But—"
  • "Air a Partner Showcase instead."
  • "But Sir—"
  • "And announce a new Kirby game on a random Tuesday via Twitter."
  • "Bu—"
  • "Did I stutter?"

I’m so confused. The game is coming summer (we’re in it) and they’re still holding the date a secret lmao
Yeah this is one of those announcements you would usually expect as "out now/shadow drop". Even if it will release at the same date as the September direct, why not announce it then?

I love how confidence always transforms into skepticism and from skepticism into realism.

June arrives... everybody is hopeful

"I mean they have to announce a general because there are so many things they need to adress"

Nintendo adresses everything in Tweets, trailers, minis and title directs

"well maybe in July then? I mean they have to right?"

Nintendo follows their June strategy

"September it is then"

My guess is that they're trying to see if they can release AW1+2 this summer and maybe 1-2 Stinky Horse, and how soon they can schedule those games including promotion or not. If they find space and the opportunity to fit either or both of them in, they'll date Kirby.
If it takes to long to schedule them in and can't release them this summer but only know at the last second, Kirby gets a september direct shadow drop.
If they know very soon that AW1+2 and 1-2 Stinky Horse are off the table they can date Kirby earlier than the september direct.

Youtubers are recording videos titled "Is this game going to be SHADOWDROPPED during the upcoming DIRECT?" as we speak.

I think there is a chance advance wars never sees the light of day, or if it does, it wont be for a long time

Oh, hey, it's Kirby.

Oh, hey, Directs are dead; long live Directs. 😭

/s... kinda.

* OMG, just noticed the title change. Well done!
