thanks for this really important piece of information. Now the rumours about a PS5 level TV-only Switch make a lot more sense. Can't wait for it to get properly revealed!

Makes sense. Metroid Prime remaster will run at 4k, while Prime 4 will push the system so hard it'll run at 1k. Port begging for the Switch Pro Pro will commence.
 
Anyone who randomly claims to leak something right now is an obvious fraud by the way.
As if they just all of a sudden got info right after someone noticed a video had been privated.

This is the most positive Grubb has ever been on the idea of a revision soon.

His proposed theory of Nintendo supporting the existing Switch for 3(+) years and using this as a means of extending the lifespan has been thrown around on the Future Hardware thread for a long ass time now

Edit: for those that didn’t listen - he’s still just speculating. They took the position of ‘let’s say the private video does mean what everybody wants it to mean. what do we expect?’ (paraphrasing)
 
While I still have a bit of skepticism, I do find it funny that people will rather believe in an imagery OLED Lite that will appeal to a niche within a niche than believe that Switch Drake releasing this fiscal year.

I'm curious about the actual quote from Nintendo regarding this, because I've seen this paraphrased and stretched so often that folks literally believe the current Switch will last til 2027 with no other hardware.

So, Nintendo Switch Advance announced and bundled with 1-2-Switch sequel

Mike refused to let it go :] He was just appalled at the idea of Nintendo making games for the current Switch for 3+ years, and Grubb couldn’t convince him otherwise

It makes more sense than the Switch OLED to be honest, where the big upgrade is the screen, which you don't even use docked.
On a Lite it would make much more sense.
You know if they make a dockable Switch Lite OLED, that would be perfect.

Just shorthand for improved hardware because that's what Sony used for the PS4

Switch Pro started even before Switch was released. It's a long ride.
