That's actually rumored at the moment, some new color OLED model. But they've never privated videos before announcing a new themed model, so it would be strange.

Didn't we just find out the Lite video has been private for a long while? I feel like people are trying to see patterns where there might not be any.

If they actually want to announce a new model with extra power/functionality now, that means it would be for release this year, since they wouldn't want to step on their own Christmas sales. But if the new model was releasing this year, we'd have a lot more smoke for this fire, like firmware references, or even manufacturing leaks.

Quite right and good on you. Even if people don't agree with you it doesn't mean you should be jumped on. It's fun to hear different opinions, otherwise the world would be a very boring place.

I'm completely fine with people "jumping on" me. If 8 people disagree with me 8 people can post it. I don't want them to take is as if they did anything wrong it's just an argument over a video game system.
 
Since last week, took a break from Famiboard. Come back to see we think Drake Switch reveal this month alongside rumored Direct? I was thinking the Drake Switch wouldn't be shown until later this year or possibly delayed into Switch successor due to chip shortages.

The Lite video was privated 2 days after the OLED model was announced, almost certainly to avoid confusing people who looked up "new Switch reveal"

I actually don't recall much of anything. I do recall having a small nervous breakdown in high school though because I was failing an optional "leadership" class that I was invited into and really had no idea why I was there, what I was doing, feeling like a complete fraud, etc.

...I didn't realize I just zoned out for twenty minutes after typing everything before the ellipsis and I think I really should take my mental health more seriously. I hope y'all will as well.

Personally, my hope for this happening is that we are in the latter scenario with an October or November launch and a very unusual lack of leaks. I don't, um, think it's likely that they've managed to avoid all concrete traces of this thing's existence less than half a year before launch, but if it's happening that's how. I think there's no chance of an announcement this month for a 2023 launch.

One possibility that I am not particularly expecting but I think should nonetheless be kept in mind if a pro that is not drake.
The Nvidia leaks were specifically relating to DLSS. If there was a pro that would not use DLSS it would not have been in the leak, so this is still possible.
But I'm not expecting it, it's just not out of the question that there is a new device that isn't Drake as long as it doesn't have DLSS. For example, another die shrink that runs games at stable 1080p 60fps.

I’m frankly ready to buy whatever it is Nintendo wants to sell me regarding an upgraded switch at this point haha

I’ll take whatever they’ve got! 1080 60? Love it, baby, give it to me!
