Depends of what kind of Donkey Kong game it is. Would you call another one of those Jungle Climber game with horrible control scheme good news?

Wonder what Paon is doing these days. If they want to work with Nintendo again it should be for another Glory of Heracles game.

Mostly mobile games, it seems

Strangers of Paradise really feels like it came and went.

My cousin told me that the main game “memey” scenes were very few and probably all the ones shared on online when it came out so you saw it all.

The original leak to reveal was pretty funny but thinking back on it. I think those leaks did a lot more harm in the end since it made it seem something much more different. The reveal trailer probably would still be penned with its Chaos usage. But we’ll never know.

I loved the Paon games, so I definitely wouldn't complain having more of that on occasion; especially when they were the responsables to keep the Rare legacy alive with great fanservice, while Retro decided to cut everything to a minimum;

By the way, when doing my Windjammers 2 review, I ended learning they own the IP now; so they're definitely fine

Amazon, why must you drive the stake through my heart?

Damn even Amazon knows you got to add a half a year to whatever date Nintendo says for Zelda games.

I'm definitely picking this game up when it hits a big discount just to experience the absurdity. Besides the general concept of the game being a potential turn off, it releasing so close to Elden Ring did it no favors even if the game itself wasn't the Souls/Nioh Final Fantasy game people were expecting.

I wonder what Camelot is developing right now there is only one possible Mario Sports Switch game left that would make sense and is Mario Baseball, and while I'd personally to see it (It's my second favorite Mario sports game and we haven't got on for a while) it doesn't seem at least to me that's what they are working on, will we see the first Camelot non-Mario Sports game since 2010? Or are they developing the first Mario Sports game for the Switch Pro/2/Super (which would make sense they release one every 3 years so it would be a 2024 title)? It's going to be interesting at least due to being the first time in over a decade that the next game isn't for sure a Mario Sports game.
edit: Also forgot to say that Mario Baseball developers were Namco / Bandai Namco not Camelot so if made there is a chance Nintendo would contract Bandai Namco
Camelot's work before the switch, has been a game every 2-2 1/2 years. With Tennis in 2018 and Golf in 2021, we can maybe guess their next game might be announced next year. Since they are like 45 empls, its hard to see them having multiple projects but will see. They are hiring and they do mention if your interests align with "sports or rpgs" so.... a golden opportunity may rise :ROFLMAO:

I’m planning on picking it up later this year when it goes on sale. The gameplay honestly looks super fun to me. The only reason I didn’t buy it at launch is because I’ve got Elden Ring to play.

Mario Volleyball RPG???!!!

What a waste of excellent library. Paon was formed by former employees of Data East and when they were formed, they revealed their intention of working with Nintendo to revive classic Data East franchises. They did but only for one game: Glory of Heracles DS. Then they went mobile, apparently.
By the way, when doing my Windjammers 2 review, I ended learning they own the IP now; so they're definitely fine
Yeah, Paon is kind of an continuation of Data East. They were supposed to revive classic Data East IP's with Nintendo but that didn't exactly happen. I'm guessing it was because Paon failed to retrieve other Data East IP's from G-mode, a branch of Marvelous.

They own some of the best Data East franchises: Windjammers, Glory of Heracles, Dark Seal, Karnov, Chelnov, Vapor Trail. Much like Namco, Capcom and Square today, Data East was one of the third party giants on SNES and Game Boy.

Taito continues to be absolutely baffling as an entity owned by Square-Enix

But hey, I might be able to finally play Elevator Action Returns which looked absolutely slick and stylish as hell when Jeremy Parish streamed it a few years ago

Yeah. It’s sort of insane some of the choices, but I’ll take what we can get. We get rehashes of bubble bobble but no Rainbow Islands releases? At least Darius is getting lots of love (expensive love mind you). And where are the Lufia releases!?!?

Even as someone not into anime I would be in for something like this , wasn't Strikers already planned at first as a Volleyball game (with wresteling elements)?
Mario Spikers was a Volleyball-wrestling hybrid game which was in development after the release of Mario Strikers Wii. It was cancelled by Nintendo themselves due to the violence of the wrestling moves.
Weirdly, that's why we thought we'd never get another Mario Strikers game, because of the use of the Mario IP.
Now that Strikers Battle League has been announced, I can see Nintendo and NLG going back to Spikers one day. Or they would like Camelot to make a more volleyball friendly game.

Played enough New Pokémon Snap my head could handheld. I probably shouldn’t be playing to begin with but I wanted to.

Game is such a joy. Can’t believe it took me this long to really get to it

Still thinking about this
I'd argue Captain Syrup was originally intended to be the "Wario" for Princess Peach. One is the ruler of the land, the other is the ruler of the seas. Peach, as a fruit, is good for you, meanwhile Syrup, and by extension her crew being called the Black Sugar Gang, are bad for your health. Peach is "a love interest" while Syrup is a rival. She even has long hair like Peach so very much an evil Peach recolour. Plus it's very apt that Wario's games would involve seeking out his "Peach", but not because she was kidnapped, but rather because she kidnapped something he was after.

Heck, we've seen another princess/pirate connection in another Nintendo series with Zelda and Tetra being two sides of the same coin.

M rotated 180 degrees is W, L mirrored is ˥, and P rotated 180 degrees is lowercase "d". Peach is telling Daisy she is the evil counterpart... to Peach herself
It's not even a single flip, since they're flipping it across the y axis as well. The evil counterpart to Peach would Princess Beach

Captain Syrup?

That looks like Wapauline to me.

Kirby deserves every sales and praise it gets. This game is bursting with creativity. It reminds me of Mario Galaxy, which is my favorite Mario game

Hey folks, currently at the airport waiting for my flight. Switch in hand but no internet. Do I need internet to make sure my cloud saves sync? Can I play with no internet and continue with my old save file?

Do you use the saves on more than one Switch? If not, it's not an issue.

Say hello to my Vita Homescreen.

Clearly I had really only 1 interest in this device. Granted, not much to play tho.

Since I bought a house, I’ve been done a lot of mass cleaning and organizing. And been seeing a few things that are pretty amusing.

I also found a unopen copy of Nier on Xbox 360 that I apparently own. Don’t know why I have this, back then I would’ve played it. I also have a unopened PS3 copy of Ni No Kuni that I’m pretty sure I bought for a vacation that I ended up forgetting to take it anyways lol

I have 2 switches but only use the saves on one of them. So I'm good to go right? Preciate the quick response btw.
As long as all the save files have already been downloaded onto the Switch you're using, you should be fine. They'll be uploaded the next time it has an Internet connection.

Hey folks, we’re in talks with Pipeline to collaborate on a Mario Kart tournament to raise money for Ukraine. I’m currently looking to see if anyone is able to help out with designing some branding/promotional material, like a logo and flyer for social media. If anyone is interested, please send me a DM!

So this comedian I like has a podcast, and she's started a sponsorship deal with Manscaped. She did an ad reading and.. I didn't laugh?

An actual professional comedian's Manscaped bit was still not as funny as what Nate and MVG pull off. Can't wait for the next ad episode.
