I read something wrong and my error has wrought a horror, unleashed upon the world: Tingle Strategy, henceforth known as Tingle Tactics for the alliteration.

Hylia have mercy on our souls.

hahahaha is that guy's name seriously Daniel Crap??
It's from a Conan O'brien sketch, where "Sean Connery" calls Conan and insists his name is Daniel Crap. Craig visits Conan the other day and says that fake Connery was right he IS Daniel Crap.

Why the hell is every single episode of Conan not on Youtube already? He promised!

What a waste of a perfectly good team and resources. They could have made ARMS 2 or another new IP by now

Also has no one noticed that Monolith Soft's website hasn't updated with employee count numbers in like half a year? They just stopped. Wonder if they'll update when their game gets announced in the next direct

My sleep-addled brain gave me a stupid chuckle when I randomly thought of a disambiguation of Pokemon's slogan:

Pokemon: You Have To Capture Each One Of Them!

So i decided to do some more. It's stupid, but it's honest work.

Fire Emblem: Several Domiciles
Beast Poacher Ascend
Polygon Tactics
The Legend of Zelda: Up Weapon

Beast Poacher Ascend is cracking me up LMAO

I do have to say I can't place the Zelda one though, I need help with that one 😂

At least we can take solace the next Mario Kart might include Reverse Tracks, Costumes, Special attacks and a wider cast of characters. The combo system is also great, although I think it's less likely to make the cut.

Every time someone complains that Nintendo is wasting their time and talent adding content to Mario Kart Tour, they internally delay the next console Mario Kart further. Please understand.

To make this post productive and not just a 4 AM shitpost I think it'd be cool to have the score combo oriented gameplay of Tour as a side mode in the next console Mario Kart. Spice things up a little while still using the same tracks.

I imagine the crew actively working on Tour isn't that massive; definitely not EPD 9's main project. They created a surplus of content before launch and are very slowly dripfeeding it. Still aren't anywhere close to releasing all the characters, kart parts and courses we know they've worked on (via datamining).

Hopefully we see something from them on the console end soon, though.

How much money does Tour make, and what sort of download figures have Nintendo achieved? Along with Fire Emblem Heroes, this seems like the Nintendo mobile title with by far and away the most consistent support.

I say this from a position of extreme ignorance because I've never really bothered with phone gaming. Educate me, please, enlightened mobile users.

Fire Emblem Heroes...Too much money unfortunately lol. FEH has over 5 million downloads on Google play store alone. I believe the game has made over $600 million since it launched in 2017. No idea about Mario Kart.

Those new Monster Hunter Rise screenshots look really good. The game must be running on PC Pro hardware.
One of my favourite 2020 to 2021 swings was "Monster Hunter Rise must secretly be running on Switch Pro" to "Monster Hunter Rise is disappointing visually, will wait for PC version" without a hint of self-awareness.

Worst part of those comments were that when the PC version was leaked in the ransomware, the Switch footage they showed had fps drops and bits of pop ins and they were claiming that was PC footage. If that was PC footage, I would very concerned.

I have my faith in DK Vine's sources, but it's a bit concerning Emily hasn't heard anything about it.

I believe Hyle of DK Vine said development started in 2017/2018 which is probably more than enough time, but considering COVID and this might be an entirely different kind of DK game, development is probably taking longer than expected. I'm afraid we might not see it til 2023.
If it's being done internally, DK Vine's sources should be Japan related, we know Emily's are from NoA though. So that could be the reason she doesn't have the info.

Development starting in 2017 or 18 doesn't equal the game being in full production for all of that time.

The way I see it, an IP being brought back in-house with a new team being built specifically for it is pretty unprecedented at Nintendo. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a lengthy prototyping process, and if recruitment took a while to gain pace. Factor in the pandemic, and it's not surprising that a DK project like this takes a while to get going.

Lost Dimension asking me to play it three times with these slow enemy animations and loading screens between attacks because I got the same traitor in two playthroughs so don't think I can get the true ending yet...it's killing whatever hype I had for Monark. Lancarseholes more like!!

Also hi, everyone. I'm still working on my Vita backlog and am back at work (another wave, another "no but seriously why am I considered essential") so my Switch is literally gathering dust. Nintendo must announce new Fire Emblem or I fear they won't survive the year.

98% of Nintendo's games are made in Japan while NOA doesn't develop anything. So by this logic, Emily should have absolutely no info about Nintendo.

One of the rare (get it) games that won't be released in the US.

Did some research last night into why Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker isn't pulling down any new SpotPass data after I bought it off eShop during the fire sale. Turns out that some time in 2020/2021 the weekly SpotPass rotation stopped updating and Atlus won't do anything about it. Which fine, the fusion recipes don't count towards the compendium completion % so it's not essential but it's such a massive bummer to have another remember about how ephemeral gaming can be. So barring a 3rd version on Switch for the DeSu games the only option for getting these is to figure out how to get CFW installed and copy the SpotPass data that people have archived which feels like more work than I want to deal with.

Don't get me wrong, I think stuff like sending out fusion recipes on a weekly basis is a neat thing but I just wish companies would remember to go the extra mile and patch these micro-contents permanently into the game after a year or two.

Now I'm just hoping the DLC isn't tied to save slots because I was rushing through the plot because the game doesn't unlock the DLC shop until about an hour or two in and while none of it is consequential it'd be nice to be able to restart the game for the story and not have to worry about if the 3DS eShop is offline in a year or two.

IT'S FRIDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Whats up!!!
Up is a 2009 American computer-animated film directed by Pete Docter, and co-written by Bob Peterson. It stars the voices of Ed Asner, Christopher Plummer, Jordan Nagai, and Bob Peterson. The film centers on elderly widower Carl Fredricksen (Asner) and Wilderness Explorer Russell (Nagai), who go on a journey to South America in order to fulfill a promise that Carl made to his late wife Ellie. Along the way, they meet a talking dog named Dug (Peterson), and encounter a giant bird named Kevin, who is being hunted by the explorer Charles Muntz (Plummer).

Switch top selling in December in the UK. The Switch had its best week ever in the UK with the release of a Mario Kart 8 bundle. Pokemono D/P came in 4 and 7 on the charts. If they were combined they would have been at #3 with just physical alone.

Also interestingly that the Switch version of the GTA Trilogy only accounted for 13% of the game's total sales in the UK, well below 28% for Xbox and 59% for Playstation.

With the poll on this site also including a "spend less money on games" option...

I just scrolled through PSN and how is the DIGITAL Deluxe Version of Forspoken 105€???? Are they sane? I can buy like a Switch Lite and theb some for two of those.

Listen I get this type of pricing on actual physical deluxe editions but on digital ones? I looked at the list of contents and yeah apparently there will be story dlc that is already included but other than that it's a bunch of files - artbook, soundtrack and the likes - that you probably will only be able to open on your Playstation anyways plus who even wants a digital artbook??? Not me that's who.

Digital games in the triple digits, what are we coming to...

I can only hope Nintendo never adopts this ridiculous pricing structure. I am cool with paying full price for their first party games longer as long as that full price isn't over 100 goddamn Euros ... for reference that is 118usd.

Also I know Nintendo will adapt this kinda pricing eventually but I am already mad just thinking about it.

The Pokemon Sw/Sh with DLC is $90 digital, so Nintendo is getting close. I guess that’s a full expansion pack though. I can see them getting to the $100 mark if they do season passes bundled with games. I could see the Koei Tecmo developed games getting up their if they ever adopted their insane cosmetic DLC practices.
