2021 was pretty good for my backlog. I’m down to three or four games across Epic/Amazon/GamePass (Darkside Detective, Outer Wilds, Walking Dead final season), about half a dozen on Switch (GAA, Paradise Killer, and a few smaller/co-op games), and less than a dozen on Steam (mostly story-driven indie/AA games, but also Resident Evil Revelations 2). I should also get around to Life Is Strange: True Colors, but I’m waiting for a better deal/Game Pass. And I think that’s it for 2021 and earlier games, replays aside.

So I think I have a shot at clearing that backlog out, or at least significantly cutting it down, in 2022.

I don't think I want to play this game. It would make me very stressed

(From your list alone, I have Tropical Freeze, Eastward, Mario + Rabbids, Pikmin 3, Wario Ware, Ori 2, Undertale, and Hollow Knight unfinished. This is not even close to exhaustive)

Foamy is always in my head, because of the way he says "the matrix" (which I wasn't joking, is seriously how I hear it whenever I read it) and because my best friend and I also say "so close!" the way he does in that video.

Also thanks for whoever added backlog options to the poll. My only vote initially was to complain less about games (I'm working on having a more positive attitude in general), but I also bought three games in the recent sale and I still had like a half a dozen in the backlog after deliberately working towards burning through my backlog throughout 2020-2021. And with 2022 looking to be 2017 part deux, I'm not sure how successful I'm gonna be at clearing it. 😅
 
I really need to start clearing out my deep backlog before my hardware dies…especially worried about my 3DS and Vita.

Also, oh snap! Excited for Goldeneye!

So in Cobra Kai there are now THREE different warring karate gangs, and that's how I'm gonna look at Era/Fami/Twitter drama from now on.
 
That new thread smell. Also I am working on my backlog tho it gets disrupted whenever a first party Nintendo game I want comes out as that winds up taking precedence(and I can usually beat them in a few weeks)

Probably not a bad idea. Will devote my year to old handheld games I have (and dozens deep ps1 classics on vita).

Happy New Years folks. This year gave me GAA and Psychonauts 2, making it a blissful year for games. (Not to mention Dread!) Hope this year delivers like that for all of you.
